Let me start off by saying we had just completed a lovely 10 day cruise and decided to stay an extra day in Rome. The original hotel we chose was closed for renovations and we were driven to the replacement hotel. This was replacement. Here is my list of complaints: Small TV in a corner of the room away from... Stayed here for 4 nights in March with my girlfriend after a recommendation from my Dad who stayed here in the 80's! The hotel is still as great as he made it out to be. Breakfast is great and plenty of choice (which is important when your fuelling up to walk around Rome all day!). The rooms are very clean... More

The hotel was conveniently located, was clean and comfortable, but most importantly the staff was amazing! Franco, the head Concierge is a dear and directed us to a delightful place for dinner among other helpful things. When in Rome I would definitely stay here again.

Just returned after spending 4 nights here. A small unassuming entrance and reception area opens out into a 'tardis' like building with large, comfortable public areas decorated with wall art, statues and ornaments. Check-in was efficient and the staff very friendly, taking a genuine interest in us. We had booked a superior room which was huge and spotlessly clean. Lovely... More

We stayed for 3 days in March, 2015. Our experience was excellent. The hotel provided a driver to pick us up late in the evening from the airport who was on time and wonderfully polite. The next morning the man at the front desk provided us with a map, directions, suggestions as to the best times to visit places and... More

Stayed at Napoleon Hotel for three nights in March whilst on a long weekend in Rome supporting the Welsh Rugby Team! The location is a five minute walk from the Termini with added bonus of a Metro Station immediately outside. Having said that, the location was such that it was just as quick and easy to walk everywhere. The rooms... More

I had a very good experience during my 2 day stay at this Hotel in March, 2015. Very nice and warm rooms, courteous staff and very polite. My only little request would be for the serving staff at the restaurant to be a little better verse with the English language since a lot of tourists from outside Italy would be... More

Dear Chopra25, Thank you for your lovely review. Here I would just clarify that the largest part of the staff who serves at our restaurant speaks English fluently. Only in particular circumstances may happen that none of the staff in one shift has this skill, but that is very rare. I hope you would give us the pleasure of welcoming... More

We stayed at this hotel in Rome with several of our friends (5 rooms total) and we couldn't have been happier. The rooms were small, but very nicely decorated and more than adequate. The breakfast was very good. The location was great -- 10 minutes walk from the Colosseum. However, it is the service that sets this place apart. I... More

Behind a simple entrance and small lobby you will find generous lounges and nice rooms. The service is relaxed, warm and friendly. The location is good with short walks to the central station and the collosseum and a subway stop just outside. The rooms are clean and quiet. The beds seemed a bit hard at first, but were good to... We stayed here for three nights and will return if lucky enough to return to Rome! Rooms were comfortable, clean; staff was friendly and helpful; breakfast buffet had assortment of delicious foods. Common areas were comfortable and often the location of visitors relaxing and planning their next adventure. Lots of extra hospitality here, from the concierge with wonderful tips and... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
