My Wife and I were in Rome to race in the Rome Marathon Maratona di Roma 21 on March 22 2015 [she beat me]!. Our friend stayed here last year for the marathon and recommended it to us. The location is great for all of Rome, it's close to the Colosseum [walking distance] and the Metro. The hotel is very... More

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome. Not only for the location but the great service and professionalism. Even though our room was somewhat small it was cozy and very clean. The bathroom was always spotless and everything worked! The hotel sitting area was very nice to sit and relax and rest your feet and body after... More

We wanted to change our hotel in Rome so we looked through the internet to find a better one. We found this hotel at the price of 450 euros. I called them and asked if the room that i saw in the internet was available. They said yes, and that the price was 450. So we went there. We asked... More

When I first read this review, I thought of a misunderstanding, a possible error on our part. I also wrote to the author of the review, using the link on this page, politely asking questions and looked forward to that, if there was a mistake on our part, we were willing to pay back, but I had no answer. In... More

Me and my partner stayed here recently on a 3 night break in Rome. We booked because of its location and it seemed to be a popular choice when looking at hotels at time of booking. We were extremely happy with our stay and thought the staff were wonderful and could not do enough for us. It was our anniversary... More

We spent four nights at this nite at this hotel. The main attraction of this hotel is its location. It is within 15-20 minutes walk from Roma Termini as well as Colosseum. Also it has many really fine restaurants within walking distance. There is a fine park in front of the hotel, with an ancient Roman ruin. The reception staff... More

From the moment my friend and I arrived, the staff couldn't do enough for us. The concierge were incredibly helpful with regards to main attractions and using the metro. The hotel is situated in an incredibly accessible place. There is literally a metro point, right outside the hotel, which links to the main line. The rooms are also well equipped,... More

This family-run hotel is a step into the past. The common areas are comfortable and spacious. Our bedroom was clean, the bathroom warm, the shower efficient and the bed was extremely comfortable. There is a kettle and tea making facilities in the room and a fridge. We were impressed by the wine tasting evening to which guests were invited. The... More

Spent 4 nights at this hotel in March, and had a wonderful time in Rome. The friendly staff really made our holiday, including the warm welcome and the bottle of Prosecco in our room to celebrate our anniversary! Particularly enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice each morning for breakfast, and dinner options from the bar were also tasty. The hotel... More

Comfortable beds, clean and well run. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Owner had a wine tasting and went round introducing himself to every group and having a chat. Right next to metro station which makes up for its slightly out of the way position. Having said that, we walked home from Piazza Venetia every night with ease.

Traveled with my wife and 3 year old son. The location of the hotel cannot be any better. Very convenient if you intend to walk around or take the metro. Metro is super convenient. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, but looked quite old fashioned though. Good staff and good service. We chose a larger room option to... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
