Me and my partner stayed here on the 24th Jan - 26th Jan 2015 (weekend break) and from the first point of contact with the day concierge (Fabio) it was a very pleasant welcome, our bags were taken to the rooms for us and when I asked for a slightly larger room with a Bath tub we were instantly moved... I spent 4 nights at this hotel in mid-December on a business trip. It was chosen by the team leader who made her decision on the recommendation of the museum where we were working. It was an excellent recommendation. The staff was as friendly and helpful as at any of the best places I have ever been. It is a... More

My family stayed at Hotel Napoleon for a week in mid-January. From the very beginning, we were made to feel welcome. We arrived in Rome around 7:30 a.m. and despite not being guests the previous night, we were promptly escorted upstairs to enjoy a lovely breakfast buffet, with scrambled eggs, various sausages, delicious pastries and a selection of fruits and... We stayed in a double room (February 2014) For one week and it exceeded our expectations. Extremely clean throughout, very comfortable bed, tea & coffee facilities in our room and a little balcony where we could smoke outside our room - all of these things matter to us on any trip and Napoleon ticked all the boxes😄Perhaps not the best... We stayed at Napolean Hotel for 8 nights over Christmas and New Years. The first nice surprise was that when we arrived at 8 AM Christmas morning, our room was ready for us. We used the hotel transfer in and out, for 48 euros, and we were very happy. We were three people and our room would fit four-2 twins... More

We stayed for one night before leaving Rome after a four week Italian adventure. After staying in a range of other four star hotels, we were disappointed with the quality of Napoleon hotel. On the plus side, the lounge, bar and breakfast areas were lovely. On the down side, our room was dated, the toilet kept running after flushing and... More

Napoleon Hotel is a typical hotel with a feel of old times. The hotel is ideally located just about 1.5kms from termini and has a metro station right next to it. Traveling was easy from here. Rooms are comfortable and the food was good. Staff is friendly and give you good tips about how to go about seeing Rome and... More

Nicest hotel we ever stayed .Stuff is fantastic-friendly and helpful. In big hotels stuff is usually good trained, but it is formal training. In Napoleon you feel like at home and all stuff like a part of your family. We were there to celebrate New 2015 year. Owner of hotel invited everybody to perfect party. Atmosphere in hotel is warm... My family of 5 stayed in Hotel Napoleon for 8 nights over the Christmas holidays. Never been to Rome ourselves, we chose to stay here due to their consistent outstanding reviews at TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed. The hotel staff were ALL very nice, helpful and courteous. Breakfast was decent & generous. Rooms we used (superior) were spacious, clean and... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
