We found the hotel very welcoming. The room was comfy, with a bonus of tea and coffee making facilities. Within walking distance of the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, with a metro station right outside the front door. The reception staff were especially helpful, nothing was too much trouble. They would go out of their way to make sure you... More

Had the pleasure to stay here for 7 nights for our 40th anniversary after staying in Venice and Florence. The hotel offers extra perks for 6 nights or more on their website. The staff were all professional and personable. All of the concierge staff were very helpful with all request. The hotel is also in Paris and is family run.... More

My husband and I spent four nights at the Napoleon Hotel while we were in Rome. It was a terrific experience. The rooms were huge by European standards and well-appointed. Also the air conditioning worked very well and the beds were comfortable. The only drawback I found was that the internet did not work in our room. We did not... More

My sister and I have just spent 3 nights at this hotel. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we walked in. A porter took our bags and showed us to our room. The room was an adequate size and clean. The air conditioning was on already which was welcome as it was very hot outside. We had... More

We stayed for 5 nights at the Napoleon, arriving late on Tuesday Evening due to a late delay of the flight from Heathrow. When we arrived we were greeted as long lost friends, not as strangers. Check-in was fast, and friendly, and a photo-copy of our passports were taken for security reasons ( I think ). The room we had was... More

We had two nights here. Our room was small but very clean with a good bathroom. The service by concierge staff was exceptional. Definitely worth looking at if travelling to Rome. Easy to get to from Roma Termini train station. The hotel is walking distance to Colosseum, the Forum, Trevi Fountain etc. close to catch the hop on hop off... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
