Next to the Piazza Navona, but on a quiet side street, the hotel is perfectly located to experience Rome. The staff are all very professional and courteous. They were very helpful with restaurant suggestions and tour and performance tickets. We had a bad experience with a taxi driver and the door man was right there to help us and the... More

Such a lovely hotel. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. We had a very large room on the 1st floor was many windows. It is very close to many great restaurants and attractions. Great breakfast and we enjoyed the rooftop bar and restaurant as well.

This last visit was our third in three years. The hotel is superbly placed less than a couple of minutes from the Piazza Navona but far enough away to avoid the mass of tourists. The staff are extremely courteous and helpful being able to arrange almost any tour at short notice that a visitor could desire. The breakfast selection and... More

If you want to take in all that Rome has to offer, this hotel is for you. Great location, steps away from Piazza Navona, great service, decent breakfast but the new rooms are on the smaller side. Overall, a good experience during our pre cruise stay in Rome.

This is a good hotel I would only recommend to visitors if they are not staying in the lowest level of room. Raphael's second level is great, spacious and clean. However, their lowest, cheapest rooms are not good. The room we initially stayed in did not even fit all of our luggage (two large bags and two carry-ons). When there... More

Criticism first: in an effort to ensure the privacy of guests, protect the cleanliness of its interiors, preserve the exclusivity of its rooftop terrace, or whatever other justification they would offer, the hotel staff have gone offensively overboard in their militant policing of the front door and lobby, as well as the rooftop. It makes even guests of the hotel... More

I stayed at 4 different Relais & Chateux hotels: 3 in Italy and 1 in Brazil. Hotel Raphael was chosen because of belonging to this group and due to its great location. Let´s start with the goods: 1. Great location, at half block of Piazza Navona. 2. Delicious breakfast, with organic products, real fresh juices, and a good variety. 3.... More

The Hotel Raphael is perfectly situated in Rome. Great for walking to the Pantheon, the Piazza Navona, etc. We stayed in two Richard Meier rooms—an executive deluxe double and and an executive suite. There was an outside door which we could close to make the rooms somewhat connecting. Both rooms were very well designed and comfortable, and quiet. The executive... More

Staying in Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori

Neighborhood Profile
Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori
With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a five-minute walk of each other, the Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighborhood museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa drivers, street vendors, merchants, and locals. There is no rhyme or reason to its winding streets and there's something to see around every corner, so take pleasure in a spontaneous wander.
