As many other reviewers have commented this hotel is in a fantastic position just next to the Piazza Navonna. There is a lot to like about this hotel apart from its position. The rooms are a reasonable size for Europe and nicely decorated.(We had a Richard Meier room on the 3rd floor). Good sized bathroom with a walk in shower... More

Hotel rooms were very comfortable and clean. Richard Meyer designed rooms were very well appointed with modern amenities and were spacious, especially by European standards. Staff was excellent - friendly and provided great service. Breakfast was included and was outstanding. Finally, the location right next to Piazza Navona was perfect.

I have stayed in a 5-star hotel in Rome at least once a month for the past 14 months, so I know a lot of Rome hotels pretty well. This was my 5th stay at The Raphael, and to be honest I would stay more frequently if it weren't often fully booked. The reasons I like staying at The Raphael... More

I was looking for a hotel in Rome to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Surprisingly, the choice was not easy, as many renowned chains get relatively poor reviews from visitors for Rome. As I already have my favorite places in Rome, Raphael’s location was a big plus for me. Just steps from bustling Piazza Navona, within 15 min from Pantheon and... More

We had a great stay at the Hotel Raphael. The hotel is beautiful and it's in a great location near many of the major sites (Pantheon, Piazza Navona etc). Service was excellent and nearly all staff spoke English, which made things so much easier for us. The free continental breakfast is very generous--fresh squeezed juices, breads, pastries, eggs, meats, cheeses... More

I chose this hotel based on trip advisor reviews. I must say it was a wise choice. The location, staff , service, room all were A+ The concierge service provided by Rita at the front desk was the best I have ever experienced. She planned each day for us and it was no less than perfect. Steve the waiter in... More

This was our first trip to Rome and we feel lucky to have stayed at the Raphael. The service from all staff members was exceptional, the rooms very comfortable (small, but that is expected), and we felt pampered at every moment! The included breakfast was fantastic, it had something for everyone - even a hard to please vegetarian like myself,... More

My partner and I stayed here 2 weeks ago. When we arrived we were offered presseco which we had in the lobby which was lovely. The staff were very friendly and polite. The lady at Reception was very helpful and gave us advice on where to visit and marked this all on a map for us. The decoration in the... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and it does not seem like they have their act together. Upon arriving we asked the front desk to book a restaurant for that evening. They were not able to do it but did not tell us. They said no one, answered and they could not find a Web site. There is a Web... More

Don't get me wrong, the hotel is nice. It's just not as nice I expected for the cost and for a 5* hotel. I spent a pleasant few days here but I was pleased to leave. The rooms are small, the staff are not that friendly and it doesn't feel luxurious. The hotel's best feature is it's location. It's right... More

Neighborhood Profile
Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori
With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a five-minute walk of each other, the Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighborhood museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa drivers, street vendors, merchants, and locals. There is no rhyme or reason to its winding streets and there's something to see around every corner, so take pleasure in a spontaneous wander.
