We all loved this hotel. We stayed here for three nights in seven rooms and we were all very pleased with the hotel, the staff and the amenities. We were upgraded to suites in five rooms and they were tremendous, especially compared to most European hotel rooms. The air conditioning was wonderful throughout the hotel and it was 40'C in... I'm an SPG platinum member. Check in was great, we were upgraded to a suite. Staff was generally very good (except the restaurant), and the concierge was excellent in terms of restaurant recommendations. The hotel is pretty ideally located - right next to the Villa Borghese gardens and walk-able to the Spanish steps. As a Platinum member, we had the... More

This hotel is a long walk away from many of the historical artifacts but close to the "Hop on Hop off" bus stops. The hotel is exquisite in every fashion...and certainly provide a sense of eloquence. The room decors were fashionable and AC system worked beyond expectation (would go as low as you wanted). Breakfast buffet was immense with a... More

We spent two nights in Rome prior to boarding our cruise ship. Arriving at the hotel very early in the morning, we weren't expecting our room to be ready but we were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel staff couldn't have been more accommodating. The room was beautiful and large. Everything was top notch in the room, including the excellent WiFi... More

Spent a prt of my honeymoon in a room and was pleased to actually have stayed in this hotel. The room had an opulent, quintessential italian feel. The staff was friendly. I would return here in a heartbeat! Free wifi in room was a nice touch.

Rome was the second stop on our Italian vacation with 2 daughters (9 and 11) to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We had just come from Venice having stayed in connecting rooms at Hotel Danieli. Check-in was uneventful, but when we got to our 4th floor rooms, they were side by side, not connecting. Note that in 5 star European... More

We had an excellent experience here. The room was beautiful, spacious, and well-decorated. The bathroom was large, with a lot of usable space. The shower had good water pressure. The beds and linens were Westin quality, which is to say that they lived up to their "heavenly" brand name. The fitness center was large and clean, with a good variety... More

We were upgraded to two suites, both with sitting parlor and luxury bathrooms. One very large suite looked out over entrance of hotel and had two bathrooms. Perfect for our 3 teens. Quiet location on tree lined streets and near the US Embassy, Villa Borghese Gardens, and Roman Wall. The rooms looked worn especially the carpets and had musty smells... More

Rooms were large and comfortable. The staff was accomodating. No problems. Maze-like hallways. Evidently it has added areas over the years and you can get lost. Older hotel but one of the best in the city. Walking distance to some great sites.

Stayed with my friend and, we wanted to live the real Classic experience and we really accomplished at this Hotel. It’s very good located. The staff are very nice. The common areas are marvelous. Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
