The best thing about this hotel is the location. You can walk to St Peters just over five minutes, as well as the Vatican museums. It is also near Ottaviano metro stop, and plenty of buses leave from the nearby piazza risorgimento. The rooms are carpeted and while I wouldn't say they are spotlessly clean, the things that mattered: the... More

Stayed here for four days in April of last year. picked this hotel for its proximity to the Vatican. literally two blocks away, couldnt have been closer. this hotel is nice, not outstanding, not terrible but nice. decent size, clean & friendly. what more could you ask for. we were out most of the day exploring this magnificent city &... I enjoyed my 4 days stay at the hotel. Sara at the front desk is very nice and helpful. The location is very near and convenient to the public transportation, restaurants, shopping stores and to the Vatican Museum. Everything is walking distance!

We were told by the front desk that the air conditioning was broken. They told us they only had 2 fans and that both were already lent out. Later a helper told us that the air conditioner had been turned off. We were lied to. We only got English on the TV (CNN) for 3/4 of one day. The front... More

This IS NOT a Four Star Hotel. It is time for Trip Advisor to re-rate this property. It is old and in need of redecorating. I did not even want to sit on the chairs in the common areas. It looked as if they had not been cleaned in years. The room was small and cramped. Thank goodness the sheets... More

This hotel is actually really nice. I think what most Americans don't realize is that European hotels are not the same as those found in the States. When viewing it as a European hotel, it is excellent. Nice rooms, excellent location (5 minute walk to the Vatican, Metro, or where taxi's are located). The staff speaks English, which was nice... My wife and I visited the Amalfi Coast and Italy for the first time, staying at this beautiful hotel located on the island of Ischia in the Bay of Naples and taking day trips via ferry to Positano, Capri, etc. with the Stay and Visit Italy tour and had a Great Time! The service and food were outstanding, first-class English-speaking... More

Stayed 3 nights in a single room. Very very tiny. The bathroom was 2/3 the size of my room. That said, the room and hotel wee spotless. Staff was great. Breakfast is included and had good choices. Location is close to he Vatican. I could stay here again. Keep in mind, this is not The Ritz.

This is definitely NOT a four star hotel. I think it probably was at one time, but that's been a good twenty years ago. However, the staff is very helpful and patient with English speakers and they do try their very best to be accommodating. Beds were hard, pillows flat, but when the housekeeping staff saw I was sleeping on... More

This average hotel in Rome only serves its purpose because of its location. It is about 10 minutes walk to the Vatican and nearby St. Peter's Basilica. The Metro station is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel and buses are available nearby and they come so cheap. The Termini is 5 metro stops from Metro Ottavio. Yes, its that... More
