Wonderful location. As they say, location, location, location..Vatican was outside of our hotel down the street like 5 min. Amazing. Good rooms, decent air conditioning. Beds were a little hard but typical European beds. Nice bathrooms and clean. I would stay here again. Only 30 min free wifi per person. But if you go back a few hours later and... More

DO NOT STAY HERE I forgot a small jewelry pouch, called immediately after I left, was told that no one had even gone in the room to clean yet the pouch was no where to be found. They then started accusing me telling me it was my fault I left it and that it was in my luggage and not... More

Dear Sirs, much to our regret for what happened, we wish to refer that hotel management could not involve police without a formal report. This is the reason why the guest was requested to go to the police station to make a report. For the Italian law that is a formal act absolutely necessary for any insurance procedure , that... More

This hotel is on the "other side of the city" from the train station where we arrived. It was quite a long bus ride but the public transportation (way, way cheaper than a cab but a bit more awkward) dropped us off very close to the hotel. The Michelangelo is part of the Starhotels chain and is therefore more on the... More

Terrific stay at Starhotels Michelangelo. We booked a package through Costco that included hotel, transfers, breakfast, transportation, even wine for a great price. Our room was very nicely furnished and included a sitting area with sofa and cocktail table. The free breakfast was OUTSTANDING with fresh fruit, bakery items, eggs, cheese, sausage and more -- better than any complimentary breakfast... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights after a 11 night Costa Cruise. We were very much looking forward to it as we had been highly impressed with the hotel we stayed at prior to the cruise that was further out from site of Rome. The location of the hotel was a quick walk away from the vatican... More

We arrived from london to rome on 6 june 2011. got done by the white taxi. paid 45 euros. took half an hour to reach our hotel. Then the fun began! We were told at the desk that 2 of the rooms had been vandalised by some idiots so therefore we could not have our 2 double standard rooms. We... More

This is a great place to stay with a toddler as the room is clean, has a fridge, the hotel has a restaurant if you need food or milk warmed up. Besides they serve a great breakfast and the staff in the restaurant is helpful. We were a two minute walk away from the Vatican and a 5 minute walk... More

We stayed at this hotel 3 days from May 18-20. We had a quiet room in the back area of the hotel on the 7th floor. The room was small but had a comfotable bed, refrigerator, flat screen TV, and nice marble bathroom with complimentary robe and slippers. The staff were polite and helpful and the lobby was very nice... More

Our group of 14 stayed here for several days in late May, before a 10-day cruise, and another day after that cruise in June. When we came back in June, one of our group commented "It feels like we're back home!" I agree. There is something to be said for a hotel almost literally within the shadow of the dome... More
