(1)The Location:- The hotels location could not be better, it is central to all the main attractions... 10 minute walk to the colleseum and roman forum, and is central to all the main via's (roads) via del corso is worth a strole down, as all the main tourist attractions lead off this street, eg, spanish steps, trevi fountain etc.and shops... more

Hotel Traiano was clean, with courteous staff. Room was small but clean, bathroom well groomed. My room (2 nights) was on the street but not too noisy with the windows closed. Usual continental breakfast, good quality (no hot foods though). Center of the action to sight-seeing, easy to walk to all major sites and the shopping district. Knowing what I... more

My partner and I recently stayed for a week at the hotel and overall found it to be a very pleasant experience. We arrived to find a slight difficulty with our bathroom furnishings but without delay, the hotel staff presented us with an alternative room. The bedroom was sufficent for our needs: routinely cleaned in an expert manner. The staff... more

We booked this hotel after arriving in Rome. The hotel we reserved was near the train station and not as close to the sights as we would have liked. After a while, we realized why this hotel had vacancies in the middle of the busy tourist season. We had two rooms for 4 nights,so we spent a considerable amout. The... more

Spent a couple nights there on business. As mentioned in other reviews the location is great - near the major sights. I must have been a bit unlucky as my room was small and unfortunately opened onto the main road which turned out to be a nightmare. I practically felt like I was sleeping on the sidewalk. Extremely noisy. However... more

This was a great hotel with very friendly staff. Room was large with bedroom and living room with pull out coach. Bathroom was small but did the job. Great location, right by the Via Nationale, which is a great shopping district and has great restaurants nearby. Pricey if your on a budget but worth the stay. Breakfast was great for... more

My wife and I stayed at the Traiano for five days last week. I was just delighted about the quality, given the price we paid. I think we got the best room in the hotel (by accident): room 211. It's fairly big and the only room with a big, walk out balcony. We faced a busy street but the sound-proofing... more

I stayed at the Hotel Traiano for 2 nights in October and booked it before I read any reviews so I was a bit anxious about the negative reviews. As expected, the rooms where small and room furnishings are not of 4 star standard. The location was perfect as the Trajan Column and Roman Forum is within just a few... more

When we arrived we were shown to our room which was not too bad a size, but not as big as others in the hotel. Within the first hour we found that the toilet was leaking and that ants were entering the room via what appeared to be a gap in the wall from outside. We complained to the manager... more

When I looked at other reviews, I wondered if I had made the right choice. Thankfully I was right! The location was brilliant and was really close to a lot of the main tourist areas. The roads around the hotel were a bit noisy but what do you expect in the middle of a large city. The rooms were very... more
