Stayed in the hotel traiano for 5 nights and you couldn't get a better location, the historic centre is basically on the doorstep and we went to trevi fountain every night for gelato and people watching, which is only a 5 minute walk away. We walked almost everywhere, up to the villa Borghese (hire a segway in the park only... More

Excellent location to Rome's city center. Many of the city's attractions were within walking distance. Service was great, but with Giuseppe's personal touch, the service was excellent. I had many conversations with him, and my teenage children also enjoyed their conversations as well. It was a pleasure teaching & speaking in English, and in exchange he taught us useful Italian... Amazing location, in the heart of Rome. All of the staff were helpful and nothing was too much trouble. It was clean and tidy and the breakfast was good. The only negative was that the TV as it only had one English channel and that was the news channel. But when you are on your honeymoon and in Rome who... More

Location is excellent - close to the Colosseum & buses. The service was good and the staff friendly and willing to help. Clean and functional. TV very small and no kettle. Served our purposes excellently.

Ideally located near many wonderful attractions such as the Colosseum, trevi fountain and piazza venezia and the large shopping areas. Hotel is beautifully traditionally decorated and the room was large, warm, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was nice and the staff were very nice and helpful but some fresh fruit would be welcome.

Stayed in mid November. The hotel is about 10-15 mins away from Termini station which is great. Few minutes away from the colosseum. Literally everything was within the walking distance! Even Vatican City or St Angels Castle (about 25 mins walk) - perfect! Unfortunately, the hotel doesn't look as good as on the pictures. To be honest it was a... More

Hotel Traiano was the best hotel that I've stayed in Europe so far. The location is great, just a few steps from the Piazza Venezia and the Colosseum. There are some good restaurants with a fair price really near the hotel and the staff was good too. The breakfast is great, the room is big and clean, really clean. I... More

Excellently placed for walking around the major sites of Rome, room was well equipped, large and the a/c functioning. Room was on the first floor, so traffic noise was intrusive, but not noisome. Slightly dated, there are areas which could do with a revamp; the worst section was the breakfast room. Poorly served by just two servers, I never managed... More

A lovely short stay back in August. It was mine and my boyfriend's first holiday to Rome and it was fab. Hotel Traiano's staff are hospitable, friendly and professional. We had a lovely stay in this modest- no-frills accommodation. The price was very affordable and fantastic location. We bought Roma passes and didn't use them! You can walk everywhere from... More

Me and my wife visited Rome in October 2015 and stayed at Hotel Traiano. It is a nice hotel with a great location to Forum Romanum. Everything went smoothly at the hotel and their kind staff are very service minded. One short remark though was that some electrical contacts were hanging loose from the walls in our room which was... More

Staying in Trevi

Neighborhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighborhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
