Upon our decision to go to Rome as a couple for a Birthday present and quick getaway we started looking at 3* hotels via Thomas Cook website. Middle ish price around 350 for 3 nights. Prince via of veneto had a nice description and pictures over looking the street below and claimed rooftop views as it was situated on the... More

This hotel is terrible. There is nothing compared with what they promise on the Internet. The "double bed" is in fact two single beds put together with a very small mastress. The room is really small and the walls are disgusting. The bathroom is terrible as well. The door doesn't close (not very romantic to go to the toilets just... More

Why is this hotel called Prince of Via Veneto? it is not on Via Veneto, with all that that conjures up. I can only assume it is to deceive potential customers. Don't look at the professional photos of this hotel on Trip Advisor, or the ones that come up on hotel booking sites. Look rather at the traveller photos that... More

Before stumbling upon the reviews here on tripadvisor, we found mostly good reviews. And the pictures looked OK. We stayed here in December 2012. For me alone, it would be just what I need. For a romantic weekend - not the right place. The good stuff: The people who work there are great Close to "everything" (cab found in 2... More

We could not believe how awful the accommodation was. The room and bathroom were dirty, the electrics were dangerous, if there had been a fire we would not have escaped as the stair well was cluttered with furniture. How on earth this can be sold as a holiday location I will never know.

Stayed here September 15 & 16th, 2012. The only good thing about this place is the location. The bathroom was old, moldy and you could barley fit in the shower that was a hand held (literally) because the holder it sits in was broken. While a realize it is a very old building, it is clear that very little is... More

Please be very careful before you book a stay here. It seems that this company is simply out to cheat you. They refused to honor a cancellation that was in accordance with their stated policy on their website.

My wife and I booked this B&B at by phone. We were finishing up a two-week trip with our twin daughters, and dropping them off on a subsequent school tour. Ever try to book two rooms for four people, when two are leaving earlier than you are? Nearly impossible on-line. After three attempts to reach the hotel (more from my... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
