We were very happy with our stay, ground floor room with door opening onto an outside seating area. The fountain in the court yard was adjacent to us and hearing the flow of running water was really peaceful.Room was a large double with a fab and very large bathroom with a walk in shower. Bath sheets were provided as well... More

Few minutes walk from Colosseo so the location is good. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel but I rate this hotel as 3 star hotel. Front of this hotel is described as messy and once you go inside it looked ok. My room was small-ish. Bed is good for 2 slim & small people. From the room... More

Lovely clean and minimalist hotel located in the heart of Rome's ancient attractions; the Collosso is literally five minutes walk away. I would happily stay again and would recommend to any fellow explorer!

We arrived in rome early November and booked this hotel due to the situation it was in and we were very impressed! From the airport we landed at the metro stop 'colloseo' which is as indicated right outside the colosseum and just literally a 5 minute walk we approached the hotel! We hadn't even been there for 10 minutes and... More

Don't get me wrong we had a lovely stay and the hotel was perfectly functional and comfortable. Having booked a package online we were sold this as a 4 star hotel. It looks funky and the professional photos are great but it is a bit tired and needs some work. The wall are all scuffed, lights didn't work, door handles... More

As others say, this hotel is across the road from the Forum, a 5 minute walk to the Colosseum, 20 minutes from the Trevi Fountain, 30 minutes to the Spanish Steps & the Vatican. The Hotel is small with modern & quirky decoration - we stayed in one of the garden rooms that are in a separate annexe at the... More

Bloody brilliant. I know very Australian but come on... the colosseum around the corner and two beautiful restaurants right out the front of the hotel. Pretty good i say. The room was nice and clean but not sure if its four star as it was pretty basic in comparison to all the other four star hotels we stayed at during... More

the location alone is enough to wow you. just 5 min from the colosseum and a 15 min walk from trevi fountain and pantheon . not to forget that it is a walkable distance from termini station . If you are a serious walking enthusiast and good with maps then you can save a lot of money by avoiding the... More

Fantastic place. The hotel was comfortable and clean. We had a room with a terrace that was just amazing. Staff was super helpful. The location is great. It is 5 minutes from the Colosseum. Very close to the metro station. By metro, it takes 9 mins to get to Rome Termini. Breakfast was descent. Just FYI , the sign on... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
