The 4 star rating that Hotel de Rome boasts is a joke. During my three day stay the refrigerator did not work, the free internet worked sometimes, the TV did not have any English speaking channels, no air conditioning (to be turned on layer in the summer - maybe) and the room was extremely small. The only good things I... More

The location of the hotel is really great - round the corner from the Coliseum and 10 minute walk towards the fountain/ spanish steps area. I wouldn't class this hotel as 4*, more a 3* star at best but the rooms were clean, comfortable and a good size for us. Everything is a bit basic, but for us, that's all... More

I have been too many places and countries but i had never encountered such terrible Hotel as Hotel Richmond operated by Hotel de Rome. Its very rare for me to comments but this time i need to share my bad experience with the Hotel. First the entrance was confusing and hard to find. We stayed maybe around 10 minutes or... More

I stayed here for 2 nights in late April 2015. First impressions were ok, entrance is fairly discreet and we found it hard to find the hotel. The check in staff, was friendly and let us check in early. We told we had an ‘upgraded room’. On entering the room, we were very disappointed. It was a white room, decorated... More

First off I should say I have never left a review on TripAdvisor before, but felt I needed to with this hotel to warn off potential visitors. Spent two nights in this hotel, and on the three days I was there, we had no water in our room. No taps, no shower - and we weren't allowed to change rooms.... More

Booked a double double room through lastminute.com Upon arrival I was told I had a twin room, I had specifically asked for a double. The fridge in room didn't work, TV didn't have any English channels and after a long day of walking around a little relax in the room with a cold beer and TV while getting ready to... More

When we arrived at this "hotel" felt nervous when we saw the outside and reception area not much better ! Went up to our room and nearly cried when we saw what could only be described as an attic, asked to change rooms and next one not much better so we appealed to the receptionist to find us another hotel... Dear sir, thank you for finding some time to review our hotel. We are sorry that you weren’t very pleased by our hotel, even if for us it’s hard to understand the reasons for it since you didn’t even stay by us. The outside area you didn’t like is the square of Largo Corrado Ricci with its 4 restaurants, a... More

Brilliantly located within walking distance of most attractions, and minutes from metro/bus if you don't fancy walking. Check in very smooth and quick. We were upgraded to a lovely large room with a balcony. Excellent shower room which was spotlessly clean. The TV did not work initially however it was fixed during the day whilst we were out. Breakfast room... More

Hotel location was great. 5 mins walk to the famous colloseum, Roman Forum, Corso Vittorio Emmanuel. Near metro stop Collosseo. Room was abit small. But very2 clean. Im happy with my stay. Not for fussy travellers. Recommended though. Cheers!
