Stayed here for 3 nights, the room where we stayed was New York I believe and it was a very nice room, especially the bed was wonderful! Also not noisy so had a good night rest. However, the bathroom was quite smelly and the floors of the room were not clean at all, walking over them in socks would leave... More

I Loved My short stay here. My room was Lovely and homely, and i felt very safe being There alone. Staff were friendly and very attentive. I have no complaints and highly recommend It. The metro is only a few mins walk. The área itself that Its in isnt the prettiest but Its easy to get to main attractions. I... More

I have read previous reviews and, even though not an owner of the place feel almost offended by some negative reviews. Dear travelers! This is a great place to stay for the price it is offered. Trust me, we have traveled a lot. In a huge city like Rome, it is a good location, next to train station, metro stop,... More

we stayed here for 3 nights mostly because of the location - it is really close to Termini station- and the facilities provided related to the price.. we are a couple with a small child 1 1/2 years old. That is the mistake we made(?).we should have read the reviews because mostly the problems are the same we faced too. Let... More

First off, the location is VERY close to the Termini Station, that was a good thing for us since we were traveling via train to the location. It was also convenient for taking the metro and getting to the airport, both can be done from the Termini Station. However, we were definitely not in the heart of main attractions, I... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in May and had a very comfortable time Location: The B&B is very close to the train station and Santa Maria Maggiore is a great landmark to find the place. However given the way the sights are spread out in Rome, i believe staying closer to the Colosseum would have been much better. It... More

The hotel is perfectly located near Termini station. Breakfast are excellent and served in a nice kitchen! Rooms are very spacious and B&B is very clean and very well decorated. We would totally recommend a stay at City Mood.

We spent there 3 nights in early May when Rome was overcrowded due to Jan Paul's beautification, and more central locations were busy. Although our Italian frieans were a bit skeptical about the area (Rome Chinatown), we felt quite comfortable and safe there. Underground station is very close, and the walk to Termini Station takes 7-10min. As with all apartment... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
