Close to metro station though environment was a little strange at night. Clean, central and value for money. A reasonable and comfortable place to rest after a whole day of walking and traveling. Host was helpful.

Very nice & friendly place, very very close to bus terminal & metro station. The neighborhood is a little bit strange at night time, but we never felt danger. We will certainly stay there in our next visit

Clean hotel close to the metro, but not in the nicest area. I dont think the photos gave a fair idea of my room (don´t know whether they match the other rooms better). It had very little floor space and a tiny bathroom, but for a few nights it was okay. No public areas, but that didnt bother me, as... More

Dear Kristine, Thank you for the positive review, about the cleaning, the room and the central location, anyway i would like to clarify that the young boy at the reception (mr Alessandro), has invited you not for a romantic Gala dinner, but for an espresso coffe in the morning, in the caffetteria close by; It is normal, it is friendly... It is about 10 min walk from Termini station. Was bit hard to find it. The location of 55 inn is quite good, close to metro stop Vittorio Emanuelle. Andrea speaks good English and he was very helpful host. Room is spacious, tidy and free from outside noises.

We were in Rome for 3 days after a week near the campana of Assisi... what a difference! The location of 55 inn is quite central, closeby metro stop Vittorio Emanuele, linea A. You can buy a 3 days metro/bus/tram-pass for 16,50 euro and hop on and off where ever you want. Andrea speaks good English and he was our... More

Dear Elisabeth Thanks for the positive review, and it was really nice to meet you. We have Metro and Bus, just next our door, and we are in the hearth of Rome, 15 minutes walk to Colosseum and 5 minutes from Termini central station. More

The tiny door to 55 Inn could be easily missed & it doesn't look much from the outside with graffitied walls (every where in Rome) but don't let that put you off - once inside, it's great! Clean & cheap, comfy bed, very secure, free WiFi. Only 1 metro stop (2mins) from main Termini Station...10 minute walk to Colosseum, 5... More

I spent a week in this hotel together with my boyfriend. Both of us were satisfied with the service, our room was clean, tidy, light and comfortable. Through the week we always got clean towels. The location is excellent, because this hotel situated close to the metro station, that's why we could discover the whole city quite easily. I offer... More

We were lucky to find the "hotel" and wandered around a large building looking for the entrance - we asked a neighbour who directed us. We were then lucky to "check in" with a non-english speaking lady who appeared to be just leaving. The owner Andrea arrived very quickly to check us in and was helpful. The "hotel" had no... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
