The hotel is located close to the train station, a 5-7 minute walk. We arrived late in the night, but as warned in a letter about it the day before, then we waited for the owner-Italian handed over the keys to the room and the entrance to the hotel (so that we were independent of the time of our return... Here is a long story for you guys, bare with me.. Me and my girlfriend booked this "b&b" for 2 nights, and I have to say this was the worse place i´ve ever been at. Even if you are thinking about booking this place in order to save some money, DONT!! We prepaid via bedandbreakfast.com, aprox 3 weeks in advance,... More

the room was exactly as shown on booking.com! location-wise the b&b was very central yet secluded and quiet enough. Our host was enthusiastic and likeable, a choice of breakfast was brought quite literally to our bed each morning, despite sharing the block with others we felt free to come and go at all hours. All in all a cheap and... More

From our arrival until our departure the staff was most friendly and helpful. They provided a map and personal explanation for my daughter and I to explore the city, which was most helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet from street noise, yet close to all that we wished to see, and the train station was just blocks away... More

I booked this B&B (3 rooms) one month in advance for my May trip to Italy but one week before my arrival, the hotel emailed me asking me to cancel the reservation because they do not have sufficient rooms for me?! I had no choice but to cancel this reservation and book another hotel at the very last minute and... More

I chose this B&B for the last leg of our stay in Italy through Hotels.com. I quickly read the description of this hotel (but not reviews) but listen to what we got; went to Rome termini from civitavecchia port by train and tried to locate the place by asking people around (one of the reviews here ia accurate, the place... Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
