This was our second time at this very nice hotel. It is a family-run hotel with a very pleasant and warm atmosphere. the rooms are very simple but clean and we were very lucky to get a room with a small balcony. The breakfast buffet has a very large variety of fresh goodies. Nice restaurants around the corner for dinner.... More

Our stay at Hotel Lancelot was very pleasant. The staff were incredibly helpful and responsive, and the location was unbeatable. We were a few minutes walk away from the colosseum and multiple restaurants. The room wasn't anything special, but it was clean and nice enough. The breakfast was very nice. Overall, highly recommended.

The Hotel Lancelot is conveniently located on a quiet street near the Coliseum and San Clemente. The metro and bus are within a few blocks. We stayed in a room with a balcony, and oh what a view, especially at night! The rooms range from no frills to a very lovely honeymoon suite. The staff is knowledgeable and very gracious... More

We were caught up in the Lufthansa strike on March 20, 2015. The staff went out of their way to help us find alternative travel arrangements. Since we had to check out one day early, they didn't charge us for the last night on our reservation!

We have been many times to the Lancelot and never fail to be impressed but not only the standards in the hotel but the fabulous staff whose knowledge of Rome is second to none. Hotel is a short walk from The Colosseum so very central. Stay out of the "tourist" area and visit some amazing tratorias on the side streets,... More

We chose this hotel based on the good reviews and its location near the Colosseum and downtown Rome. We were thrilled with our decision. They helped us with arranging transportation from the airport to the hotel. The location was excellent. We were able to walk to the Colosseum and even to all the downtown sights (lot of walking, but one... More

The Lancelot Hotel in Rome is a three star hotel in a quiet neighborhood really near the main attraction (Coliseum) and also plenty of public transportation nearby, therefor easy to get around town and its main attractions. The hotel is a small and family run establishment, therefore has a nice and quite atmosphere to it. The room I stayed (single)... More

I came to Rome on business and was booked by my travel agency to stay at another nearby hotel. When my schedule changed and I had to come to Rome a day early, the company hotel wasn’t available that additional first night. I booked into Hotel Lancelot last minute because it was only a block from where I would have... More

This was our home away from home, while in Rome for the week as a couple (although we saw several families). This gem is the perfect place to begin your days in Rome, and wind down for a pre-arranged dinner at the hotel. There are several restaurants nearby for additional dining choices. A breakfast buffet was included. It was a... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
