I stayed for 4 nights in April and was very impressed form the moment I arrived to the moment I left. I arrived a little earlier than I expected and my room wasn't ready. I was given a complimentary coffee whilst I waited. However, when I was shown my room (I was travelling alone) I saw it only had a... More

Great location, food and bar. Very friendly and helpful staff. Views of colosseum from roof patio. We learned about the place by word of mouth. Good restaurants nearby too, including the best pizza trattoria in the world. Near to all the central sights, yet in a quiet street.

We booked this hotel based on Rick Steves recommendation and it is a winner! From check-in to check-out, everything was top notch. The hotel is quaint with a wonderful breakfast buffet and a gourmet chef who prepares a Feast each night if you choose to eat in the hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and staff helpful to the... More

Our family of four (2 parents, 2 teenage boys) stayed at the hotel for 6 nights. We found everyone at the front desk very friendly and helpful with suggestions on restaurants, tips for museums, public transportation - everything. We rented two rooms, and the hotel was kind enough to put us next door to each other. Our rooms were great,... More

My family spent 2 nights at Hotel Lancelot. We really enjoyed our stay and would have easily stayed longer (if we had more time). The room was spacious and comfortable, breakfast was great, we were close to some of the main Rome attractions & public transportation, & the staff were very helpful & offered great service.

Staying at the Lancelot in not like staying at other hotels. It feels like home away from home. The Kahn family makes sure you are having a great experience while in Rome. The Desk Staff helps you find your way around Rome and makes sure you have a Taxi waiting at the front gate when you are ready to go,The... More

If you are not interested in 5 star accomodation this is the best and the friendliest hotel in Rome. I have stayed here many times and the family who own it, and all the staff, make the guests feel as if they are staying with friends. The facilities are perfectly fine for anyone who doesn't insist on marble bathrooms and... More

We were greeted with warmth and accommodated right away despite our early morning arrival. The hotel is a short walk from the Colosseum but is thankfully out of the rather overwhelming tourist hustle five blocks away. The rooms are small, but quiet and clean. Breakfast was fine but nothing special. The common areas were comfortable and gave us the feeling... More

Wonderful experience. Don't miss dinner. My wife and I spent three nights in April and found the rooms quite clean and spacious, but the big draw is the friendliness and desire to please of the owner and staff. The owners joined us and other most interesting quests for dinner each night and lively conversation ensued. One of our favorites

We stayed at Hotel Lancelot as part of a tour so I can't break out the price. But the hotel was quite nice. There's a lovely little gated, landscaped area that you enter when you arrive at the hotel. The people at the front desk are very attentive and helpful. There's a tiny elevator that fits 4 in a pinch... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
