This hotel was a great bargain! Great breakfast with lots of choices, eager staff, small but very clean and adequate bedrooms, air conditioning, good location, and overall very pleasant. I would stay here again. Would rate it 4.5 if that was an option.

We booked a night at Hotel Lancelot after finding it on Trip Advisor. It certainly lived up to its expectations with great service, very comfortable rooms and a great location to access the Colosseum. We had a the family room and another double room and both were very nice, especially the family room which was spacious enough for our two... More

My family of 4 stayed here and had a spacious, beautiful room with a private balcony. Great location if you are spending time at Ancient Rome sites. The breakfasts and dinner were delicious and a great value. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Our rooms were small but clean and neat. Everyone on staff was courteous and helpful. The location is very convenient. There are numerous not-too-touristy restaurants close by, also ATMs and gelatoria!

I had asked Jo to marry me on 19 June 2014 at approx 7pm, on the roof terrace of The Lancelot Hotel as the sun set behind the Colosseum only about 400m away - lucky for me the lady said si! Exactly one year later to the very hour, and now a married couple of 4 days vintage, Jo and... More

Stayed with my teenage son. First contact was with the receptionists, both very helpful, replying promptly to my emails. On arrival check in was quick and help with our luggage given. Time was taken to give comprehensive advice as to what to see in Rome and how to get there. Our room was spotless, beds comfy, linen crisp, AC and good shower.... More

This quaint family owned hotel made us feel at home. The friendly and efficient staff made us happy to "come home" after a hard day of sight seeing. The help you get from what to see to how to get to a sight was very helpful.

I have stayed at Hotel Lancelot on two different occasions in Rome. Safe convenient location about 5 minute walk to Colesso Train Station and about same distance from Via Labicana bus stop. Neighborhood has many great reasonable restaurants too. Hotel rooms were clean and comfortable with basic amenities. There is a common balcony on every floor that afford nice views... More

This was our second stay at the Hotel Lancelot, and we loved it. It's in a great location near the Colosseum. Our room was comfortable for three adults and had its own picturesque terrace (but if there are only 2, you should request the corner balcony room which is nicer). All staff members were extremely helpful, offering directions, restaurant recommendations,... More

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Lancelot at the end of a Rick Steves tour. The hotel is located in a wonderful Roman neighborhood close to the Colosseum. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Rome. The hotel staff was helpful, we appreciated getting ice from the bar anytime we needed it, our room had everything we needed, and the... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
