I stayed in Hotel Lancelot for a month for work. The staff is lovely and helpful, the food is excellent, and the rooms are small but clean and quaint. I was treated like family and really enjoyed my long stay.

I had a lovely stay at the Lancelot for a week. I was delighted with the large airy room. It was perfect, spacious and with a large balcony and lovely old furniture. The staff were overall very helpful and pleasant. The location of the hotel is just perfect, only 5 minutes walk from the coloseo, but quiet, with lots of... More

We loved the 7 nights we spent in Rome at Hotel Lancelot. The staff is charming and helpful...we asked to borrow a wine opener and were also given wine glasses to better enjoy it. The hotel is very comfortable and is in a good area to allow visiting the sites. We will be back!

We stayed in this hotel in April for 2 nights. Right from the time we made booking till the time we checked out ,the hotel staff was amazing. Prior to the travel, we asked for advice on the Airport pickup etc, hotel was prompt in their response. They arranged a taxi to pick us up. Also they accomodated our request... More

The most notable thing about the Hotel Lancelot was the staff and how helpful they all were. The rooms were very comfortalble and nicely furnished. The hotel is walking distance to the Colosseum in a very nice section of Rome. The WiFi was fast and reliable, the best we experienced in any hotel in Italy. I would definitely stay here... More

We stayed in this hotel in April for 3 nights and we were so delighted with it. It was very clean and tidy and the staff could not have been more helpful. Loved staying here, perfect location so close to the coliseum/forum, metro and bus stops. Room was big and airy with everything I needed. Had dinner in the hotel on all four nights and it was delicious, everyone sits round big tables and chats. I would reccomend it tp solo travellers in particular due to safe and easy place to get... I stayed for 4 nights in April and was very impressed form the moment I arrived to the moment I left. I arrived a little earlier than I expected and my room wasn't ready. I was given a complimentary coffee whilst I waited. However, when I was shown my room (I was travelling alone) I saw it only had a... More

Great location, food and bar. Very friendly and helpful staff. Views of colosseum from roof patio. We learned about the place by word of mouth. Good restaurants nearby too, including the best pizza trattoria in the world. Near to all the central sights, yet in a quiet street.

We booked this hotel based on Rick Steves recommendation and it is a winner! From check-in to check-out, everything was top notch. The hotel is quaint with a wonderful breakfast buffet and a gourmet chef who prepares a Feast each night if you choose to eat in the hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and staff helpful to the... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
