The Hotel Lancelot is a family-owned hotel that is very close to the Ancient Center of Rome, restaurants, bars, tour buses and metro. The service here was wonderful - my wife and i were delayed in arriving as our flight was cancelled. We showed up the next day, and the Lancelot kept our room with no deposit, and later we... More

My family and I recently stayed at Hotel Lancelot. I can't say enough good things about them. The customer service went above and beyond, the location was extremely convenient, the rooms were in great shape, and we loved the décor. I also thought it was an extremely good value for the price. If we ever stay in Rome again, Hotel... More

Competitive price. Family room for 4 was enormous. Great location . Staff unobtrusive but attentive. Breakfasts amazing. Atmospheric and classy. A couple of streets away from coliseum, with great trattorias a few yards away, where we ate with the locals. A superb first visit to Rome. Definitely not the last.

I choose this hotel because of the location, close to an event I had to participate during my stay. At the check in I experienced the best welcome and I was assigned a room quite small and, unfortunately, quite noisy during the nigh because of some leaking in the aircon The following morning I asked for a change of room,... We are a family of 4 (two adults, two teenagers) - the family room at Hotel Lancelot was more than adequate for us. The staff was friendly, the hotel is clean, the breakfast was wonderful. We didn't mind the stairs at all. The location was fine - close to Colosseum, and 10 minute walk from two different metro stations. A... More

After an overnight flight from TO and no sleep, walked into our room and was totally amazed. We had a small balcony room. When going outside to view, the Colusium was only two blocks away. What a great vision for our first time in Rome. Hotel was very close to everything. Hotel staff were wonderful. Could easy walk to the... More

The Hotel Lancelot is an excellent hotel not far away from the coloseum. If you have the chance you could get a room with a beautifull look on the Coloseum and the Vatican. The staff are gently and helpfull and you fell like a part of family. We stay here for the second time and could only recommanded the Hotel... More

Really can't say enough, the coliseum is a short walk. The hotel itself was perfect for us. Very clean and just has a great vibe. We really felt at home here. The staff were friendly and helpful. The dinners were great, was so nice to sit with the owners. If I come back to Rome will without a doubt stay... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
