This was my fourth trip to Rome and third stay at Hotel Lancelot. I love staying in this friendly, welcoming and quiet hotel. At the end of a day of touring the sites, it's fabulous to return to Hotel Lancelot and be in such a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. We enjoy resting on the 6th floor patio and looking out... Great little spot to stay in Rome. Close to Colesseo stop and attractions. Great dinner at hotel restaurant, quiet room in inner courtyard. I would stay here again. Friendly and helpful staff. Nearby little pizzeria Luzzi was fab and incredibly cheap for dinner in Rome.

We have stayed before two years ago and wanted to come back . We had a balcony room and it was great for enjoying the Roman atmosphere. The staff is excellent ,starting with the arrangement of our transportation . The breakfast was my wife's favorite meal of the day . The bartender was very accommodating . We truly enjoyed our... We loved this hotel. The location is on a quiet street less than 10 minutes walk to the Colosseum. Also close to the Monti neighborhood where there are great restaurants and gelato. The hotel is charming with a courtyard entrance, inviting sitting rooms and comfortable bar. There is an upstairs terrace with great views. The breakfast included is very good-... More

It´s a family hotel. Small and very familiar. The room & bathroom we had booked with Booking was to small and for 30 euros difference we changed it for a bigger one. The room was near the stairway. Only one small elevator. 5 floors. Noisy in the morning. Everybody comming down the stairs. It is a nice location near coliseum. Lot's... More

For a 3 star this hotel is amazing. Breakfast is a really good continental style cold buffet - cereals, cold cuts, Roma bread rolls, croissants, youghurts, fruit, juices, coffee (brewed & auto machine espresso). Decent bed. Typical small but functional bathroom - all very clean and good condition. Roller shutter, some rooms with small balcony. Street noise minimal out of... More

A nice boutique style hotel located in a quieter section of Rome near the Colosseum..Good selection of restaurants within walking distance. Supportive and pleasant staff a feel at home environment with a neat terrace on the 6th floor. Lucky to meet the owner, Helen who was absolutely charming and a delight to converse with.

We had a nice spacious room with a view of the Colloseum. Pleasant and helpful staff. There is a nice little balcony garden on the top floor that is a perfect place to wrap up the day with a bottle of wine.

What a perfect place for a soft landing in Rome. The staff is exceptionally helpful; everybody speaks English; the facilities are comfortable and quite pleasant, the nights are quiet, and the breakfast is fabulous. They must cater especially to British travelers because there were lots of Brits at breakfast. It reminded me of A Room With a View, lacking only... More

The staff were very helpful with tips, restaurant reservations, the calling of taxis and any number of other aids. The room was very clean and house keeping was very timely. The included breakfast was very good. We heard that the "in house" restaurant was very good, but didn't try it ourselves. Nice view from the terrace on our floor level.... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
