this was our 2nd time to stay at the Lancelot so maybe we are a little biased but we know what to expect - fabulous staff who were extremely helpful and a warm and inviting place to stay. Guests are encouraged to speak with each other at meal times and this only helps. We had a large double room which... more

This was the gem hotel of our trip through Italy. We stayed on the 6th floor in a room without a terrace, but with access to the terrace at the end of the hall and a direct view of the Coliseum (four blocks away) from our room. Staff speaks better English than I do; they are friendly, warm and as... more

The Hotel Lancelot is very clean and the staff speaks English very will. The staff is very helpful and they happily give any information about Rome that you may require. They are pleasant and enjoyable people to be around. The breakfast is very good with a good selection. They offer a 3 course supper with 2 types of wine for... more

This was our second stay at the Lancelot. Again, we were very pleased. A few rooms have terraces, but cost 20E more. There's a community terrace on the 6th floor, and if you ask for a room on the 6th floor, it's just down the hall. Breakfast was good, staff is excellent. Room very nice, but bathrooms are small. We... more

A five minute walk to the coliseum and most of the sights are in walking distance too. We were vry lucky to find this hotel. although the our reception was a bit perplexing. Inspite of the hotel not being too busy - we were given a tiny run down room which had wall paint coming off; the furniture was old.... more

We wanted to stay near the Coliseum and this was the perfect location. It was also quiet and convenient to metro. The staff was friendly and the room was great with a nice patio. There are many sitting areas in the lobby and free wi-fi. They have staff at the front desk 24 hrs and they'll arrange for a cab... more

This hotel has the best of what every traveller needs. Fantastic knowlegable staff. They really make sure you have eveyrthing you need or want. They help with bus schedules, metro, tickets to the Vatican Mueseum, all of it. Good dinner each night though we only ate once (I wanted to get out and find local restaurants, etc). At dinner and... more

Four of us stayed in one of their family rooms. The room was very clean and comfortable. Our room had a large balcony/terrace which was great for enjoying a glass of wine and relaxing. The hotel is a short walk to the Colosseum, the bus and the subway. Lots a restaurants in the area. The staff is very friendly and... more

I could not have been happier with Hotel Lancelot. I chose it based on reviews on TripAdvisor and everyone's advice was spot-on. We stayed in Room 47 and found it to be very comfortable. Having a safe for our valuables in the room was also much appreciated. The thing that makes Lancelot, though, is the service. Everyone who works at... more

So before I write this review I need to add a disclaimer. I am a frequent business traveler who is traveling more often than not. I am accustom to staying in nice hotel chains like the Westin, Sheraton, Marriott, etc. In order to write this review I need to change my typical expectations from a large US hotel chain to... more
