It´s a family hotel. Small and very familiar. The room & bathroom we had booked with Booking was to small and for 30 euros difference we changed it for a bigger one. The room was near the stairway. Only one small elevator. 5 floors. Noisy in the morning. Everybody comming down the stairs. It is a nice location near coliseum. Lot's... More

For a 3 star this hotel is amazing. Breakfast is a really good continental style cold buffet - cereals, cold cuts, Roma bread rolls, croissants, youghurts, fruit, juices, coffee (brewed & auto machine espresso). Decent bed. Typical small but functional bathroom - all very clean and good condition. Roller shutter, some rooms with small balcony. Street noise minimal out of... More

A nice boutique style hotel located in a quieter section of Rome near the Colosseum..Good selection of restaurants within walking distance. Supportive and pleasant staff a feel at home environment with a neat terrace on the 6th floor. Lucky to meet the owner, Helen who was absolutely charming and a delight to converse with.

We had a nice spacious room with a view of the Colloseum. Pleasant and helpful staff. There is a nice little balcony garden on the top floor that is a perfect place to wrap up the day with a bottle of wine.

What a perfect place for a soft landing in Rome. The staff is exceptionally helpful; everybody speaks English; the facilities are comfortable and quite pleasant, the nights are quiet, and the breakfast is fabulous. They must cater especially to British travelers because there were lots of Brits at breakfast. It reminded me of A Room With a View, lacking only... More

The staff were very helpful with tips, restaurant reservations, the calling of taxis and any number of other aids. The room was very clean and house keeping was very timely. The included breakfast was very good. We heard that the "in house" restaurant was very good, but didn't try it ourselves. Nice view from the terrace on our floor level.... More

Where to begin? The evening meals were an unexpected delight. We usually avoid eating at the hotel where we stay because of many past disappointments. In this instance we thought we may be tired after our travels so we booked dinner for the first night, hoping it wouldn't be too bad. The dinner was 25 euros each and was a... More

This is an amazing hotel. We were welcomed as guests and left feeling like family friends. The idea of round tables in the dining room encourages everyone to share their experiences of a stunning city.

Loved our stay. We met some lovely travellers at dinner. Awesome meals. Only small thing is the walls at every thin so you can hear others in bathroom shower and toilet etc. The location is excellent very central. Heaps of cafes and shops nearby.

The Lancelot is quite simply a super hotel. The staff was excellent in all ways, very friendly and helpful. The hotel is immaculately clean. We've stayed in many "fancier" and more expensive hotels during our six trips to Italy and the Lancelot had the best service by far. The complimentary breakfast in the beautiful communal dining room is also very... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
