5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We stayed at the Hotel Nerva for three nights in April. It was perfect. We had the master suite with 2 children. The location was walking distance to everything in Ancient Rome and lots of wonderful neighborhood restaurants. Ancient Rome has all new night lighting and it is breathtaking...great to walk around after dinner. Our photos are amazing. Breakfast was... More

We stayed at this hotel when we lived in Italy and had some family come and visit us. They wanted to see Rome so we made sure they saw Rome! Huge plus to this hotel is that it is insanely close to the colosseum and maybe a five minute walk. There are constantly taxis that drive by on the street... More

The location was perfect for us as we were only in Rome for 2 days and needed to cram in all the sights. The rooms are well decorated and had all the bells and whistles you would expect for the price. Amazing bed with good quality bedding and towels. The staff were lovely and ready to book taxis or offer... More

The hotel is right next to the Forum! Fantastic location, easy to walk to anyplace in central Rome. It is a lovely small hotel, very nicely furnished, very modern, very chic. There is a great optional breakfast. The staff is very helpful and friendly. There is complimentary afternoon tea that was perfect for travel to Rome in early March. I... More

We stayed here for a few nights and enjoyed our stay. We ended up switching rooms for one night because we decided to stay longer. Both rooms were nice and clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They gave us a map along with a list of restaurant ideas. The only negatives for us was the bathroom was really... More

We would definitely recommend this hotel! The staff is wonderful and very accommodating, we got a lot of tips from Fernando and Antonio (when we arrived they took the time to mark all the major attractions on the map they gave us and recommended the best way to get to them) and everyone else was great! The location is perfect,... More

I found this hotel on Tripadvisor and also through reading Rick Steve's tour guide. The hotel is all as described and the location was excellent. Backing right up to the Trajan's Forum and a quick walk to many attractions, this was a great place to stay for the 3 days I was there. Clean, bright, quiet, it also was on... More

Highly Recommend this place! Here are some specifics. We stayed four nights, in a Deluxe Room on the second floor (3rd Floor for those in the Americas). WHAT I LOVED -The location: it's in the center of Rome, but on a quiet street facing an old Roman wall. It was so easy to walk to most places. -The breakfast: Sally,... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
