The staff was very friendly. The rooms were a bit small, like cruise ship cabin size, but of high quality. Our room was on a noisy street, but apparently the windows are soundproof, as when we closed them all was peaceful and quiet.

We stayed 5 great days at Nerva hotel in mid July 2015. Excellent location at walking distance from Colosseum, Forum and shopping district. Small family business with friendly dedicated staff, recently renovated: nice clean rooms, no noise from the street, excellent breakfast with fresh products served at the table, cosy atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Stayed at Nerva Boutique Hotel in January'15 for my honeymoon trip after London and Paris, they were so kind to upgraded me to the Master Suite after knowing that I'm pregnant (in fact I just emailed to them saying that I required additional pillows only)! The location is the best, walking distance from the subway station, right outside our window... More

Hotel Nerva is the perfect boutique hotel for a Rome city break. Located centrally you're within walking distance to both historic attractions, shopping and restaurants. The staff are really helpful, in particular their guide to eating and drinking in the various neighbourhoods was spot on. The hotel itself was great value for money, the rooms were well equipped with modern... More

In the heart of Ancient Rome: ruins are literally at your door, the colosseum is a short walk down the road. The metro is a short (for younger rather than older adults) walk down cobbled roads. In Australia we would call this a hipster neighbourhood with its mix of old, funky, brand new. Great food nearby. Staff are consistently helpful... More

A wonderful hotel find in Rome, just near enough to everything to make walking a pleasure and far enough to be outside the hustle and bustle. The rooms are lovely - modern and clean and brightly furnished, and the beds are very comfortable. The staff are all warm and welcoming and helpful. The hotel has a small bar and breakfast... More

Our 3 night stay at Nerva Boutique Hotel was very nice. It was located in a quiet street but very close to the Forum and Colloseum. The staff were very kind to us, especially at breakfast which was great. Our rooms and bathrooms were smaller, but nicely decorated. Overall, our stay was excellent

If you are looking for a boutique hotel within walking distance to the Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi, etc. then look no further. The Nerva Boutique Hotel is conveniently located with walking distance to these sites. We stayed in two rooms, both were very clean and updated. The bathroom of one of the rooms was quite small and had a very... More

My husband and I stayed here for four nights. This is a very nice, clean boutique hotel on a quiet, safe, side street just across from The Forum and a short walk from The Colosseum. The bedroom we had was a little small and the bathroom was tiny although the marble shower was a decent size. I do not usually... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
