Very nice hotel. Friendly staff and very helpful, quiet/clean room ( TV was large and modern, comfortable bed, large bathroom and high ceilings) and great location! Nice walk to the colosseum (approx 20 mins) and other attractions. No complaints here :)

We stayed here for one night before flying home. The hotel is small but the staff is well trained & courteous. As others have indicated the hotel is not far from the train station and within walking distance of the main attractions. But bring good walking shoes because you will be doing a lot of walking while sightseeing and the... More

I stayed at this hotel for one night (6/17-6/18) for a family trip. The staff members at the front desk were very kind and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised by their breakfast. They serve some warm foods (rice, cooked mushroom, steamed marinated tomato, and egg frittata) besides eggs and bacon, which is unlike other hotels in which we stayed during... More

We enjoyed our recent 2 night stay. Regular rooms are very small, but nice and clean. Bathroom was modern and very clean, with rain shower. Free wifi. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was not amazing, but no complaints. The usual pastries. Some eggs and meat, fruit and yogurt and cereal. They have a coffee machine where you choose late, cappuccino, americano,... More

Hotel Britannia is only a five-minute taxi ride from Termini station and about a five-minute walk to the Republicca metro station. You could walk to the hotel from the train station "if" you have a backpack or very light luggage. Nestled on Via Napoli a quiet cobblestone side street off one of Romes lifelines Via Nazionale. Roma is a walking... More

This place was great. It was located near everything you would like to see in Rome. Don't worry about a thing because the staff will take care of you. They are as polite as can be. We had such a great time and enjoyed every suggestion to the utmost. This place has the most delicious breakfast in all of Italy.... More

The hotel is a boutique hotel located in a quiet alley right off the main road. It is about 10 minutes walk to the Republicca station on the Metro, right in the heart of the city. It is easy to access to almost most of the main sites a tourist may want to visit. The staff is really nice and... More

We bought the discover Roma special and got a room with a balcony. The room was very clean and and the balcony very spacious. It had all modern amenities and walkable from a lot of major attractions and metro station. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Rome!

Beautiful hotel in great location. Walk to terminale, coliseum, Trevi fountain etc. Friendly, helpful staff. Quiet street (if that's possible in Rome!) with comfortable spacious rooms and bathrooms. Fantastic breakfast! Highly recommend and will stay there again on next trip!

Offers what you need and you get what you paid for. The decor is amazing and the staff is really nice (Marko aspacialy). Good location next to Metro Republica. Breakfast is just what you need: eggs, baicon, vegetebles, fruits etc. Just let the staf show you how to work the hot water... Treaky...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
