Had booked a regular room but when we saw it it was horribly small.. We are talking 18" on each side of the bed. Very small. But upgraded to a suite and loved it, no view but a balcony, with sitting room and fridge ( complimentary soft drinks) very nice touch. Breakfast was the best we had on the entire... More

My granddaughter and I spent the first two nights of our tour of Italy in this charming little hotel. There is nothing more that could have improved our stay there. From the driver who picked up at the airport, to the beautiful and spacious room, to the excellent buffet breakfast and finally and most importantly, to the hotel staff. Everything... More

Hotel is situated off a busy main road, close to Piazza della Repubblica and is a great base for exploring the city. The staff are friendly and happy to be of assistance, breakfast is varied and delicious, the coffee is the best I've had all trip. The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. Would recommend.

The customer service is excellent! They treat you kindly and welcoming, they take care of everything and leave you feeling like you are in your home away from home! The room are beautifully decorated with a very nice bathroom. Overall it is excellent!

I want to share my (wonderful) experience at Hotel Britannia in Rome, where I spent a awesome weekend with my husband: I read a couple of terrible reviews, I chose this hotel for the great feedbacks and mine is not less: the hotel is offering some renovations, we entered a room that looked elegant, fresh, clean, cosy and very romantic.... At the end of June we stayed at The Britannia in Rome is in the historic district of Rome, centrally located and within 100 ft. of the main road. The receptionist Marco was very very helpful. We upgraded to a large 2 room suite, with a tub ,robes, slippers, free wine, because most rooms have no view. It was room... More

The booking company cocked up and we arrived to find no reservation for us, and the hotel fully booked! Marco to the rescue!! He assured us that we would be able to stay at their sister hotel, paid for our taxi transfers, and looked after us graciously and with no little style. We finally stayed at The Brittania 1 week... Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
