This hotel is 200 years old and has a wonderful feel and charm . We were welcomed by Simona who just made us feel so welcome, she helped us organise our trip nothing was too much trouble . I would not stay anywhere else. The price is good and drinks in the room are included. You are close to everything... More

We had a four night stay in Rome at end of February with our elderly parents and can't wait to return. What a warm welcome! Hotel staff could not do enough for us. Simona gave us such a warm welcome and spent time with us to introduce us to Rome, ever helpful. My elderly parents were so well looked after and... More

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at the hotel, along with my parents, and would have no hesitation in booking the hotel again if we were to visit Rome a 3rd time. The hotel is within walking distance of the Termini station, and perfectly positioned to visit the many sights of Rome on foot (the only time... More

We stayed in Hotel Britannia for 3 nights in January and we will certainly be returning as soon as possible. The staff were very friendly and polite and eager to help where ever possible. Our room was full of character and a fair size for the 2 of us. The mini bar was a lovely addition along with the range... More

The hotel is extremely well located, half way from Termini and via dei Fori Imperiali. I had an excellent warm welcome by the front desk staff. Excellent choice at breakfast. Nice and clean room and bathroom. Will surely be back. ....poor little lonesome fish :-)

Stopped by for two nights to catch some of the sights of Rome while on a business trip. Very convenient location close to the main train station, lots of interesting sites nearby. Old world Italian feel. Good wifi at no additional cost.

I stayed here with my partner this week for our anniversary and we had a brilliant experience with the hotel. First, the staff were so always so professional and friendly at any point we met them. The hotel is a renovated 200year old building which is beautifully kept and furnished. The location is prime, being a 5 min walk from... More

Firstly let me say I have never felt so welcome in a hotel from the moment we walked through the door. After check in we were offered a welcome drink by Simona and given a lot of useful information and advice by her which saved us a lot of time whilst in the city, over an unhurried pot of tea.... Very good service (breakfast absolutely fabulous), nice rooms (and cleaned), close to the service (5 min from the train station) and very close to the monuments (5 min from the colosseum) The people are very kind and professional. This is the third times for me in this hotel....my second house! See you next time!

We spent three nights here and were very pleased. The staff was excellent and helpful in every way. The breakfast was very good with a large selection to choose from. The room was small as some have mentioned, however our bathroom was large and very nice. The location is excellent as it is in the city center. You can walk... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
