Staff is good---fella at night was amazing. The breakfast is a very large american spread with real american eggs...not the weird eggs other places serve. Well done breakfast! Mattress was very firm--too firm for me. Bathroom was updated which was nice. Close to everything---Borghese Gardens, Spanish Steps, Medici villa.

We (myself, husband and 19 year old daughter) stayed 3 nights in this wonderful little boutique hotel. The hotel is unique and has a great feel and it is full of Italian character. I cannot overstate how fantastic the staff were (Marco - you're gold). Reception, housekeeping, kitchen - all were amazing. They are family now! In fact, they are... More

My family and I recently stayed at Hotel Britannia and had a wonderful experience. The hotel and rooms were wonderful and the staff was extremely attentive to our needs. On our way to Florence we realized we had left our passports in the safe. Simona from Hotel Britannia saved the day by sending our important information to Florence the following... More

A lovely little hotel in the centre of Rome. Ideal base for walking to the various landmarks in the city. Hotel staff were very helpful and attentive and extremely friendly. We booked a standard double on the first floor (room 106). We were a tad disappointed that the room although very clean and smart was quite small and cramped. No natural... More

Arrived at Termini station in Rome after a long trip from the US, and though tired and jet lagged, without too much difficulty found our hotel. Our room wasn't quite ready, so the receptionist sat us in the bar area and provided water and cookies for us while we waited. After only a few minutes, our room was ready. It... More

We had the best stay at this hotel. The male receptionist was so friendly and welcoming and all staff were polite and extremely helpful. We stayed on the top (4th) floor of this really quaint hotel. The room was small but it didn't matter at all as it was so nicely decorated and thought out. Complimentary mini bar and slippers... More

We found this great little hotel by chance. We had decided to extend our time in Rome and the previous hotel we were staying in actually increased the room price by over €40 a night so on principle we decided to look elsewhere .We called in to this hotel to see if they had any available rooms . We were... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
