The hotel is close to the main train station and via nazionale, a major shopping street for clothes. It is 5-15 minutes away from other Rome attractions and walking is easy Check in and booking was very straight forward and we pre booked a 3 person room for my wife and I and our teenage daughter. The room (109) is... More

I cannot comment on how the hotel room was since Britannia sent us to another hotel even though on our receipt it says "Your room will be guaranteed for late arrival". We arrived at 9pm, and they told us that they were overbooked. They sent us to another Hotel (Hotel Commodore) which was quite dreadful. The AC and wifi did... More

Had a very enjoyable 3 nights here. Staff were very welcoming and made it clear they would help with whatever you needed. Room was very nice, on the small side, but perfectly acceptable. Air con was excellent as was bathroom and shower. I've also never stayed anywhere where your bathroom becomes your own personal solarium at the press of a... More

My wife and i stayed here for 4 nights to celebrate our anniversary. The staff were warm, welcoming and seemed genuinely pleased to host us. The hotel location is perfect, only a 5 minute walk from La Republicca metro station (depending on how fast you walk!) and about a 20 minute walk from the Spanish steps. We were kindly given... More

This is our 2nd stay at Britannia. Our 1st trip we over-looked the fact that they didn't even have a room for us and made us carry all our luggage up the road to another hotel for the night and back again in the morning. This trip we had extensive contact with the hotel before we arrived as we are... More

Just returned from a fabulous trip to Italy which began at the Hotel Britannia in Rome. Can't say enough good things about this hotel - staff, location, accommodations and on and on. The front desk staff was exceptional in their assistance in recommending restaurants, tours, directions etc. We enjoyed a nice breakfast each morning, which was included in our cost.... More

We just left the Hotel Brittania after a 4 night stay. I booked it through their website and we picked a junior suite. Boy, was it worth it. Plenty of room to spread out...a separate seating area and an outside patio. Pros: Spacious room Clean Great location - easy to walk to many sites including Trevi Fountain (a waste of... More

This hotel is lovely, just of the very busy Via NaIonale near to the central station. It is in easy walking distance to the Trevi Fountian, Spanish Steppes, the Collosium and the main bus station. The hotel is small and friendly and has traditional decor. It is clean and tidy and has en suite facilities with complimentary toiletries. The room... More

Dear Gillian W, thank you for your very positive feedback; we acknowledge your approval of the strategical location and we confirm that Hotel Britannia is a few meters far from the very central Via Nazionale (leading straight to Piazza Venezia) still in a quiet small street behind the Opera House. We stayed mid-July 2014 Hotel Britannia with grandson. Great location to tour Historic Rome. The Hotel's staff was very helpful and accommodating. Specifically, the Guest Care Manager worked with us even after our departure to make appropriate arrangements for another grandson of ours and his new bride during their stay at Hotel Britannia mid-September 2014 while on their honeymoon. The... More
