It was a comfortable, safe and an inviting hotel for our first visit to Rome. It was clean. The front desk staff was very warm and helpful. The room had a good land line for phone calling. The hotel has no internet on site which is an inconvenience for the modern traveler. The neighborhood of Trastavere was our favorite and... more

The convent was a bit of a walk to the metro, but on a nice, quiet street. It is centrally located within walking distance to the Coliseum, Forum, Pantheon, etc. Our room had 4 rock hard, beds and was very spacious and austere. It was very clean and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. The courtyard... more

I will have been to Rome 5 times this October and always enjoy my stay here. I will have stayed here 3 times out of the 5 and only couldn't get reservations for 2 trips. Love the location, rooms are fine and secure. Very professional here. more

I stayed here with a family group of 7--4 family members in a quad, 2 in a double, and me in a single room. We all enjoyed the stay. Rooms are basic, almost like a dorm room with private bathroom. My air-conditioner worked fine. My room was at the back of te hotel and very quiet. Breakfast was good. Good... more

I took me over 3 weeks to get my reservation confirmed with the Hotel. I booked a double room for one night 2 months prior. We arrived at the hotel to be told they had a water issue in the bathroom. My boyfriend owns hotels and said that is the typical reason the overbook your room, due to the fact... more

The Casa Di Santa Francesca Romana is located in the Trestevere neighborhood of Rome, less than a block away from the Tiber river. The area is very "local" and not touristy, which has pluses and minuses: good restaurants around (I recommend the Ouzerie, a private Greek restaurant in the same buiding with a terriffic staff). Minus: far away from a... more

My wife and I stayed at the Casa di Santa Francesca Romana for 3 weeks June-July 2007. Room was modest but very quiet; bed was fine; bathroom perfectly satisfactory (very small shower). Breakfast good; staff friendly. The location is far enough away from the central tourist areas (S. Maria in Trastevere; Piazza Navonna) to actually feel like a neighborhood; we... more

the location is very good- very central in trastever (somebody here complained about the street being so narrow- this is part of the charm of Rome). I paid 108 EUR for a double room. i wasn't too impressed- supposedly it is a monastery but apart from some christian themed paintings it looks like any other hotel in that price class.... more

Compared to other hotels we stayed in in Italy, the Casa Di Santa Francesca Romana was at least average, but the building and art was interesting and a good experience overall. Breakfast was good. It was recommended to us and we would recommend it as well. more
