Poor breakfast options, no wifi option in the rooms, only at the lobby. It's very complicated to get to the nearest metro station, we got lost a couple of times trying to take the metro, if you're going to stay in this hotel, make sure you undestand a 100% how to get there cuz it's tricky and easy to get... The quality meets the price. The room, of course, is far from luxurious. But it is large, clean and quiet (it was an innercourt room). Big bathroom. The staff is friendly and willing to help. The hotel is within easy reach by public transport Cons: no air conditioning, so in summer it's better to choose a room with a northern... More

The room was rather bare but that didn't bother me in the slightest. The room, whilst big enough for one person, was let down severely by a very narrow bathroom. Sleeping there wasn't nice since I was given a choice of either close the window to try to keep the noise of a nearby street down and, thus, keeping the... More

Stayed here 4 nights recently. Top is only the location, about 15 minutes walking distance to the Vatican walls, 3 minutes by bus if the number 46 bus ever comes. Spartanic rooms, we felt that in those 4 nights about 7588 Steve-McQueen-style motorcycle drivers must have been driving thru our room. Breakfast not much choice except some cappucino and ever... This place is terrible, it's a total rip off. The rooms look like they are cells for monks or nuns. The light had a cheap plastic fitting and the flex was tied up in a big knot. The beds were 2 narrow singles with the springs poking through. The tiny bath/shower was cracked and the loo flushed on and on... More

OK!! Lets start with the pro s.... Cheap hotel. Clean enough Friendly staff. Checkout time is 10 but had my flight @ 4pm so requested them to keep our baggages and they happily obliged. So, thanks!!!! Metro station (Valle Aurelia) close enough but not too close. And now for the cons. Concierge service ends @ 11. Thats unreasonable. If your... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and the place nice residential area which is a stone throw away from the Vatican walls. I am very pleased with their pricing as they wont rip you off. It is very good when you are in a budget and visiting rome :-) few steps away from the bus stops and 5 mins walk... More

Fanstastic service, clean, convenient for the metro, vatican and central rome. Good bars and resturants all locally and shops for any supplies.

Domus Aurelia is the best for cleanliness, budget price , extremely helpful staff and lovely surroundings. The capuccino and cornetto served every morning was delicious. We looked forward to starting our day with our breakfast. This place is economical and well organized. If you are looking for a no frills place this is the hotel to stay at. Plus, it's... More

This hotel is in an excellent location in Vatican City, across the street from the major bus stop. You WILL NEED to ask for a fan even in early October. There is no air-conditioning. The rooms are sparse, but hey, you are not in Rome to stay in a room are you?
