I stayed there last August for bussines, it is a nice, small, clean hotel with avarage rooms and polite staff. Breakfast is ok, more of Italian style. Location is great, close to Termini Station and on walking distance to museams and interest places if you are going for some sightseeing. No free wifi is provided, but you can go in... More

This hotel is not far from Termini, 8-10 minutes walking distance. Rooms are big and clean. Breakfast was very nice. Staff are helpful and friendly. You can buy tickets for tube opposite of hotel as every newsagents are selling them. There is no WiFi but you have them in restaurants around. There are few very nice restaurants around. We loved this... More

We stayed in Hotel Regio Oct 1 to Oct 4, clean, good food, nice location....however, very unfriendly reception personnel specially during the night, unsmiling, uncommunicative...or is that because their English is poor..whatever!! And the worst thing for me was no WIFI connection, really?? in the 21st century?? My companions had to go the the nearby hotel and asked to use... More

Stayed at the Regio at the end of Sept 2014 for 4 nights. The location is excellent with only a 5 minute walk to the termini. The hotel itself is very clean with comfortable and quiet rooms. An added bonus is a well laid out buffet breakfast served between 7am and 10 am. The only downside is that it doesn't... More

We stayed there for four nights and it has been really nice. Excellent service, friendly staff who were always willing to help with anything asked. Delicious, rich breakfast with italian coffees. The bedroom was just right for a couple and quite clean except from some hair found in the toilet. Great location as it was 3 minute walk from Termini... More

+ advantage is the 4 minutes walk vicinity from Termini, i.e. from airport train, hop-on hop-off buses, from metro and other buses + clean rooms (quite small but enough) + good beds + small supermarkets in the neighborhood open 24h - to by Drinks or ham + cheese as a Supplement for breakfast, + good Pizzeria "la Famighlia" in the... Great location, very clean rooms, ok breakfast, superfriendly staff and not too expensive. The rooms are more spacious than we were used to in other hotels in the same area. If you visit Rome, this hotel is the place to be!

This hotel offers great location, quite close to Termini train station, tube stations and quite a few major attractions are located nearby. Room and bathroom were surgically clean, breakfast offered good variety of sausages and pastry. Friendly and smiling staff.

We have just left the hotel and we really had a pleasant stay here in Regio. Room was comfortable and clean, bathroom was clean and specious. I really don't have any bad word for this hotel. Location is also very tempting.

We were here on our 2nd visit to Rome and this hotel was much better than the previous in 2010 (hotel Nizza). Rooms are very clean, fair in size, bathroom large, breakfast good (buffet) and friendly service. The floor is not covered in carpets but some sort of marble (including the reception) which we liked and it was really clean.... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
