My wife, daughter and I stayed at the Esh hotel in early July. Sadly now in my 50s I have visited many hotels and I can honestly say that the staff at this hotel were as friendly as I have ever seen - particularly the head waiter with his free limoncellos at the end of the meal. Excellent air conditioning,... More

Hi there, My fiancée and I stayed at the ESH hotel for four nights in August 2014. We had an amazing time visiting Rome and the ESH was a great base to get into the city centre, but also to be able to retreat to the quieter part of town of an evening. The hotel was about a 10 minute... More

My party of 3 arrived at this hotel to be told it was 'impossible' to check in and stay on our first night. No other explanation was provided and we were shipped off to another hotel even further out of the way. This made our trip disjointed and unsettled. Very disapointing. After reading previous reviews I figured the commute into... More

I was here in July. Everthing was fine, rooms are clean and quite big. Breakfast - 5+. Only 10 min.to metro station. But there is a bus stop too. Just opposite the hotel. Distance to the City center is approximately 5 km (to Fontana di Trevi or to the Colloseo). But you can take tube and it takes at about... More

I had the fortune of being able to tag along to Rome at the end of my husband's business trip. We stayed at ESH for 4 nights during our brief vacation. Having stayed at several European hotels for other trips (France and England), I was impressed with the size of the room. Large enough for a king size bed, small... More

Can't complained with the cleanliness and modern decor of the hotel. Towels are soft, comfy bed, air conditioning hit the spot of the summer heat. Quite challenge to find decent restaurant in the area. Elevator is small. other than lifting our luggages, we prefer and used the stairs to go the lobby. Nothing special with breakfast other than the Coffee... More

The first thing that was said to me by a staff person was you smell like an American. Front desk people were very rude. Rooms good, location poor. Enough said, do not stay at this hotel, they do not care about service.

Here's the deal... if you are in and out, and you don't need any help, its fine. The hotel looks good. In particular, I actually loved the decor. I was pretty happy when I first saw it. Good a good deal on priceline, so I was thinking i scored. I should have known there was a problem right off the... More

We spent 3 nights here in July 2014. I had read on TripAdvisor previously that the hotel was not in the city centre so was prepared to travel. There is a bus stop outside the hotel (on the other side of the road) buses came regularly, we never waited more than 5 minutes. The metro is only a 10 min... More

Had this hotel in combination with flights throughout last days. Not sure where the 5-10 minutes to Vatican and city centre did came from, only possibility doing this is with taxi (10-15€ one way). Alternatively there is a bus stop just in front which vecomes pretty handy - bear in mind the busses do not really seem to have a... More
