Lovely hotel Taxi is €48 which should be a set fare from the Airport takes about 20 mins.. drivers are mad! Hotel is just a short ride from the city centre,,, beware taxi drivers will charge anything from €10/€20 euro .. Bus stop right over road from Hotel, we used first day and got a free ride ,, which saved... More

This hotel was extremely clean and spacious. This was important to us as we travelled with two children. Breakfast comprised a variety of dishes which were quite delicious.((especially the beans and potatoes )) The rooms were very well kept and the beds were comfortable. My family enjoyed our stay at ESH an will recommend it to anyone.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 10 days, when we first walked into the hotel we thought wow, it looked nice and fancy I was fairly impressed to say the least, our room was on the 3rd floor, the room was small yet cosy it was perfect for us, however the one of the only things to complain about... We stayed as a family at the ESH for 7 nights. The reception staff were not that helpful especially at the beginning in terms of giving out the initial advice / tips etc. This might have been due to language rather than attitude! The rooms were clean and tidy, in fact we were pleased to have linked rooms for the... More

My wife and I spent a short time in Rome from 3rd August. Having been before some 6 years ago we were looking forward to seeing some familiar sights once again. Our tour operator (Broadway travel N) had us booked into the ESH outside Rome. Once booked and fully paid up ( not cheap for a 4 night stay) I... More

The hotel is quite a trek out of Rome, not central at all. The metro line is a fifteen minute walk from the hotel, we chose to buy a 3 day pass which cost €18 each - it would have cost less to buy tickets as we needed them, but at least we didn't need to think about getting tickets... More

The hotel used to be some sort of catholic convent, so it has a particular charm we really liked. It's located within a mile or two from the Vatican, great public transport access, helpful staff, great lobby bar, and very comfortable overall.

The facade of the hotel looks nice so you would expect the service to be much better when there is a mechanical problem. Our Air Conditioning in our room did not function at all and they said there wasn't anyone available to fix it. Instead of moving us to another room, they suggested that we sleep with the windows open.... More

Lovely modern style hotel, the nicest we have stayed in whilst visiting Italy, the bedrooms are large with safes and a refrigerator the bed although slightly hard was clean and fresh, the air conditioning was useless to be honest! And defiantly needs sorting out, as does the tv all British shows and programmes but all dubbed in Italian! One news... More

My partner and I recently stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Overall we found the hotel to be comfortable and good value however it was farther out of central Rome than we imagined and not in the most desirable part of the city. Strengths; modern hotel clean and comfy room and throughout; excellent air con; good restaurant and bar... More
