This is a good place to stay to explore Rome. It's 10 minutes from Cornelia metro station and so only 30-40 mins from the historic centre and the main attractions. The area around the station also has a few good places to eat in the evenings. The best restaurant we ate at (La Noteccia) was the other way from the... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights- firstly no prior warning that we would be taxed an extra 60 pounds that started the day we arrived on the 1st September. We were really tired when we got there from flights and went to sleep. The next day we asked a male behind reception to help us with transport... More

Stayed here for 3 nights, 1st visit to Rome. Hotel is in a quiet area with good transport links to all attractions. Bus stop and metro within walking distance. Breakfast was included, good selections, something for everyone. Evening meals cooked to a high standard with a variety of choices and not too pricey. Zahed behind the bar is outstanding, your... My wife and I spent 2 nights at this hotel. The room was quite modern and well laid out. The bathroom was very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly Zahid the barman and the restaurant staff. A far cry from the rude hotel staff encountered in Germany and Switzerland. Breakfast was very good, with a large choice... More

When we arrived we were told we were going to have to move to The Church Palace Hotel for the week due to electical problems. They sent us in a taxi to the other hotel. This hotel was nice but it was much further away from the sites than what the ESH hotel has advertised. We were told that the... More

We stayed 3 days at this hotel. The room was large, the bed comfortable and no noise at all. The bathroom was clean. The personnel was friendly and the food for breakfast very good. We did not like the location at all, as is located on a very busy road and the walkway had very narrow paths that were dangerous.

First we arrived to be told there was a problem with our booking and we were being transferred to another hotel for our first night. We would have a complimentary mini bar on our return. At 11pm after lots of traveling, this was an inconvenience but the transfer to the other hotel arrived quickly. The next hotel was far from... More

We've just spent a short 5 night break in Rome to see the sights and stayed at the ESH. A tripe room for my wife and son, in all honesty we couldn't fault it, the room size and furniture, beautiful large bathroom, storage space all spot on. Breakfast lounge tasteful and well layed out, food above average for where in... More

Firstly upon arriving we were told that we could not stay in the hotel as 12 of the rooms were broken (electrical fault apparently) and we were shipped off to the neighbouring Church Palace whereby we were given the smallest room we have ever had. We then had to sort our own transport back to ESH and wait until a... More

This is one of the nicest hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. My friend and I took a cheap flight to Rome last December and not only was the city amazing, so was this hotel. The room was very clean, warm and comfortable. We were greeted by friendly, helpful staff and a bottle of wine. The... More
