Our Travel Agent choose this hotel for a quick weekend trip. The location was superb, with good shopping both on the top and below the Spanish Steps. Our room was huge and the service excellent. The bathrooms were particularly nice. It reminded me of how hotels were run in the past: excellent personal service, luxurious, and great attention to detail.... More

The Hassler is one of the world's best hotels. The key here is to stay in a suite as the single rooms are too small. One of the best restaurants is on the top floor, with an astounding sunset view of the city. Since you are staying at the hotel, in a suite, you get the best tables. I stayed... More

We stayed at the Hassler for 4 nights before our Mediterranean cruise and we were extremely satisfied with the accommodations, location, and staff. First, the property is lovely! The lobby and sitting areas are decorated very grand and opulent and so was our room. Our room (was more of a suite) consisted of a large sitting area with couch, chair,... More

We have just spent two great weeks in Italy. Our trip started in Florence and ended in Rome. Actually this is our last night here. After reading all the reviews of five star hotels in Rome I chose the Hotel Hassler. It is a beautiful hotel with a great location. The decor is Old World and lovely. Ok having said... More

this was our third time staying here and they always do a great job! very nice lobby bar rooms are elegant. The location is great at the top of Spanish steps. We have seen some of the same staff there the last 10 years so it is no surprise they take great pride in their work. Mark and Lisa Grand... More

We stayed at the famous family run Hassler Hotel expecting something different from the international chain hotels you can literally find next door to this hotel. We were proven wrong. Nobody from the familiy showed up to at least say hello, just plenty of very freindly personel running around. The concierges are perfect! They were extremely helpful in suggesting restaurants... STRUCTURE: perfect location in the most exclusive area of Rome. On top of the Spanish Steps, overlooks the city with its austere facade. Many rooms have views of Rome, others have a view of the courtyard. The hotel is first class, family-run preserves the authenticity of the good times, while respecting all the modern comforts. LOBBYING: I once was never... More

We stayed in this hotel as part of a grand tour of Italy. So, I'll start this review by saying that we arrived on the Orient Express and also stayed in the Luna Hotel Baglioni in Venice, the Hotel Relais dell'Orologio in Pisa and Il San Pietro in Positano. All the hotels that we stayed in had free WiFi, which... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
