returned from a three day easter break at hassler. location cannot be beat for hi end shopping and local dining. I must say that the hotel itself is tired and service could be a bit better , espiceally at the restaurants. breakfast buffet not special at all for 41 euros a person. very difficult to get coffee or like in... These were the best days in Rome, in the heart of the city, the best shopping street in a minute walk. Great service! Late at night in the bar, we even allowed to smoke, that they are strictly prohibited. And it was the best bed I have just seen in hotels. Tall and soft ... will definitely return there with... More

We chose this legendary property for our anniversary short stay and having been there before just for the restaurant I was looking forward to our stay at Hassler. To most of people is sounds like 'the best', 'the perfect one'..... I didn't felt it...unfortunately. I stayed in many properties in Rome and Italy, and I can compare. The bathroom of... More

A liitle run down but still managed as an old world class hotel it once was. Incredible location/ views, rooms are a bit cramped & aged but part of a certain charm there...Suites are the greatest value for money, restaurant has no interest. Fares are overall reasonnable compared to Rome standards.Concierge service top notch.Go fot this classic !

We stayed at the Hassler for the final 3 days of our 10 day Italy trip. Our room was immediately upgraded upon our arrival, with beautiful city views, bottle of champagne, etc. This hotel is exquisite, staff is very accomodating, and location is in the heart of Rome. Walking distance to everything, subway located one block away, and easy to... More

The Hassler is exactly what you would expect a 5 star city hotel to be. There are no great extras: - although for the price charged maybe free water and tea making facilities and free wi-fi could have been provided, - but no glaring omissions either, except perhaps a clock in the bedroom. Its location at the top of the... More

There are a few other luxury options in Rome, but the Hassler is probably the only traditional family-run top hotel left. Unlike some other reviewers, I found the hotel to be in excellent condition, with a balance between the historic atmosphere and modern comfort. At a time when most luxury hotels use every space for business, the Hassler has a... More

Terrible all around: 1. Loud: Can hear other rooms and outside. Not enough insulation! 2. Food: Overpriced. 3. Interior: Fading and in need of renovation asap! 4. Staff: English skills terrible. 5. Infrastructure: Phone service useless (don't get connected after 20 rings), business centre computers don't work... and on and on... Next stop-Hotel de Russie. Leave the 'Hassle' behind...

My husband and I along with another couple spent 2 wonderful nights at this beautiful hotel. Everything was perfect. We had arranged for airport pick-up by the Hassler and our very pleasant driver Gianmarco was waiting for us, helped us with our luggage and was very friendly and helpful. He gave us information about the city during our drive and... More
