The staff, old and new, strive to offer their best service. spotless rooms with soaps specially made for the hotel. I recommend to have a cocktail or eat at the... More

I researched 5 star luxury hotels in Rome for a long time it seemed, planning my recent trip 12 months ago (always secretly wanting to stay at the Hassler). Rome was to be the last place we were to stay, to end a 4 week celebration around Europe, with my partner and newly graduated niece. Instead I booked the Aldrovandi... More

Very comfortable and friendly ....we stayed here on last day in Italy after visiting Tuscany. It is a welcome refuge in the center of the hustle and bustle of Rome at year end. Rooms are small but very well designed and appointed. The Bar is great for relaxing after a busy day. Gym is small but adequate. The staff are... More

My room overlooked the Spanish Steps. There is a lot if traffic but no noise due to double paned windows. The room decor is rich and elegant with brocade draperies. The bath is all marble with soaking tub. Towels are thick and soft, bedding is also superb. The continental breakfast served in the gardens is another great feature. The evening bar... More

Stayed here in December 2014 in a Hassler Suite with connecting rooms. The rooms, location and service were awesome. From our window we could see the Spanish Steps and the Vatican dome. I believe if the weather was nicer we could have walked everywhere we went in 20 minutes. We took a short ride to the Vatican but ended up... More

Location is exceptional! Staff are attentive and kind! Rooms are small but beautiful and they FEEL Italian. They do not feel like hotel chains with generic rooms. This hotel has charm, style, sophistication but even with our children with us, the restaurant and the hotel staff were superb. Our rooms looked over the Spanish Steps and were well worth it.... The hotel is located just on the top of Spanish Steps. So it's very centrally located. The staff was very polite and helpful starting from the day we checked in till we left. The room was perfect. The Hassler is renowned as a luxury 5 star hotel with unrivalled service and a breathtaking position at the top of the Spanish Steps..... but visitors to Rome who might not choose to stay in the hotel should definately consider visiting its luxury bar and lounge to meet Andrea Moschetti and his team. I have been visiting The Hassler since 1963, but never to stay - it was out of my budget so I would have a drink or a meal and loved it. This time I stayed for about ten days - what heaven! I have usually stayed at the base of the Spanish steps: a location I love. The Hassler is... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
