The Hassler is renowned as a luxury 5 star hotel with unrivalled service and a breathtaking position at the top of the Spanish Steps..... but visitors to Rome who might not choose to stay in the hotel should definately consider visiting its luxury bar and lounge to meet Andrea Moschetti and his team. What superb service! We were welcomed by... More

I have been visiting The Hassler since 1963, but never to stay - it was out of my budget so I would have a drink or a meal and loved it. This time I stayed for about ten days - what heaven! I have usually stayed at the base of the Spanish steps: a location I love. The Hassler is... More

The view remains magnificent from the restaurant, provided that an untidy baby pushchair is not placed without permission, between other diners and the floodlit view. One expects to pay a very high price for eating here, but the evening menu is very limited for that privilege and the quality of house wine is very doubtful. The restroom facilities were very... Great location and the service is the absolute best I have ever experienced. I returned to Rome after 30 years with a friend. Just impeccable. Expensive yes, but you get more than you pay for at this hotel. Stay if you can at least once in your life, and experience true luxury and service.

Other than the fact that the rates are high, this hotel has it all. Fantastic location, walking distance to most everything you'd want to do and a short cab ride to everything else. Service is outstanding. Doorman knows your name, grabs you a car when needed, concierge is very helpful. I will say one negative, the restaurant at the top... More

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights during our European vacation. We really enjoyed great costumer service even during our short stay. Our room was very comfortable and great breakfasts made our stay even more enjoyable.

Hassler Roma has everything…great location at the top of the Spanish Steps…over-the-top service and decor…a great stay in classic Rome. We spent 3 nights at the Hassler last week…and can't wait to go back. Our standard room was on the fourth floor overlooking the Spanish Steps…unbelievable view from the city from the floor-to-ceiling French doors/balcony. Room was opulent, quiet, meticulously... More

This is an iconic hotel, in a very nice location. Staff is first class, facility well-maintained and updated. But, our room was surprisingly small and not entirely comfortable. (A small bathroom with no door separating it from the sleeping area is, by my standards, both unnecessary and creepy.) The soundproofing in rooms is virtually non-existent. We heard not only arguing... More

The location is one of this hotel's best assets, the rooms are decorated in a very traditional style which is what one expects in the old city of Rome, great restaurant, welcoming bar and breakfast dining area. Concierge are extremely helpful and from the moment you enter the revolving doors you feel very welcomed.

Sitting atop the Spanish stairs the Hassler is something very special. The hotel is great size (boutique) and it feels very personal. The staff is great, the food is very nice. The location is perfect; close to everything! The wow factor is the roof restaurant's view across the heart of Rome. Incredible!

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
