The finest hotel I have stayed in in Rome - truly one of the world's great hotels. Immaculate rooms and public areas with great service - the concierge desk and bellmen are outstandingly helpful - nothing is trouble to them. Also good Bar. Go for a deluxe room if possible but Classic rooms are good value for this level of... More

Last week I stayed here for a work trip, and from start to finish it was amazing. The service of all the staff was incredible, friendly, polite, helpful. The room I stayed in was wonderful. Attention to detail at its best, I would very happily stay here again and would highly recommend it.

Rome was our first stop on a 14 night tour, and we loved the location & amenities of the hassler. The room was gorgeous and had an amazing balcony with view of the Spanish steps. We walked everywhere since we were so close to everything. Our room wasn't enormous, but we loved having space outside. We opened champagne and enjoyed... More

Our family booked two stays over the course of a week in Italy. The Hotel exceeded my expectations in every dimension. First, the location at the top of the Spanish steps is one of the best possible spots in Rome--reasonable walking distance to many outstanding attractions and adjacent to great shopping and great restaurants. The view from our first room... More

This is a beautiful hotel located at the top of the Spanish Steps. It is very close to the Via Condotti and shopping, and not far from the Forum and Vatican. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Most importantly, the service is unsurpassed. This is definitely the place to stay in Rome!

The Hassler is a traditional, old-school European hotel. But despite traditional decor in the common areas, some rooms have been renovated to a much more modern and comfortable feel. I would ask for a renovated room. Service is exceptional. Food in restaurant is very good, but expensive. Location is excellent at the top of the Spanish Steps.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and were very disappointed with the overall experience. We were shown 2 rooms which we rejected due to their size and lack of privacy and only when we suggested it would be better if we cancelled our booking and go elsewhere did we receive a good room. Overall, we... More

Located quite close to many sites of Rome this hotel comes out shining in many respects. To start with the service is impeccable. Not a minute goes by where you would find yourself unattended when you want something. The courteous concierge to the doorman to the waiter and the barman ... all of them make you feel so much at... Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
