Just a brief note on the Hassler bar with bartenders Luigi and Stefano . . . .outstanding upscale feel, warmth and genuine smiles. Luigi's pomegranate bellini is thee best. At the top of the Spanish steps it is a great place to stop before or after a night out in Rome

During our trip around Europe we stayed at only 5 star luxury hotels. This hotel was the most expensive. It was also the most disappointing. The price of breakfast was absurd, from 7euro for a small 40gm packet of all bran to 20 euro for eggs! The staff were overattentive and sometimes rude.

While walking up the Spanish Steps, encumbered by many packages and carrying a large red Hassler shopping bag, a man stopped and offered to help. "I'm a bartender at the hotel," he said, "can I help you carry these things?" Luigi's assistance was wonderfully welcome and only one example of the excellent and personal service the hotel offers. I love... More

We spent a night here with our kids getting acclimated before starting on a weeklong congress at a hotel outside Rome. A strong point of this apparently family friendly hotel is the high level of service which you feel throughout the property. We had two connecting deluxe rooms that were probably among the better ones in the hotel as one... More

Our room was beautifully furnished & comfortable. The public areas are sumptuous, and richly decorated. We especially enjoyed the bar & the extremely helpful & welcoming bartender. This is the first time we stayed here. We go to Italy every year and have stayed at several of the five star hotels in Rome. The service was excellent. Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
