5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We recently stayed at the Albergo del Senato for six nights. Our rooms were spotlessly clean. All the employees went out of their way to be helpful. The location can't be beat for walking to everything from the Vatican to the west, the Colosseum to the east, the Spanish steps to the north and the neighborhood of Trastevere to the... More

This is a wonderful hotel and would return in a heartbeat. Thelocation is great and the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. There is a wonderful rooftop bar - you can almost touch the Pantheon. Lively square at night and great restaurants nearby. Can't fault it at all

The very best introduction to our first trip to Rome is the Albergo del Senato -- without a doubt. Seeing the Pantheon from our window, suggestions from the hotel staff, enjoying the fantastic breakfasts, all of this made our stay in Rome one of the best places in the world. The room with the beautiful high ceiling and lovely furniture... More

We stayed in this hotel 3 nights and were delighted. First, it is located in a great place - safely away from the Spanish Steps / American tourist side of town, with people from everywhere in the piazza and staying here. Second, the people at the desk are supremely well versed in subjects about art and culture, like which churches... More

Everything in this hotel is done well-from the great staff-Luca, Alessandra, Mauro, others- to the various things like the breakfast, roof top bar, amenities in the rooms. Perfect location -much better than Spanish Steps or Via Venato-

This is a very special hotel and travellers that like high standards from a hotel stay should book here. We had an amazing time there. The location is unbeatable. Staff were excellent and breakfast was standard. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

The staff was incredible! excellent customer service. We loved the rooftop bar for pre dinner drinks and again after dinner with amazing views. Alessandra at the front desk was exceptional ! Our room was clean and quiet spacious, with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was plentiful with great coffee.

I loved this place. We spent a week here in early May and fell in love with the convenience of the location and the warmth and competence of the staff. The double superior room , though elegant and very recently refurbished, wasn't huge and the new bathroom was a little tight, but the windows (sound proof) opened onto the Pantheon, the... More

This hotel is a stone throw from the Pantheon and one of the most lively squares in Rome. Very attentive staff, clean rooms but small. Additional detail is needed on maintenance (e.g. shower very slow to drain and thread bare towels). Breakfast was very good. WIFI was pitifully slow. Decent sleep at night which surprised us given how noisy the... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
