This hotel was really great. Staff was welcoming and friendly. The room we got was small but we had enough room to put our luggage. The blinds offered so much quietness and darkness we slept better than at home and the air conditioning was working perfectly and quietly. The hotel is located within a few minutes of the Pantheon, and... More

Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Portoghesi. The location made it convenient to walk to most of Romes popular attractions. Adjacent streets are closed to regular traffic making it easy to keep windows open all day and night, if we wanted. Shopping and restaurants all around. Staff was friendly and helpful. We'd like to stay there again.

Walkable to many sights, even the Vatican, and close to many restaurants. On a quiet side street but so convenient. Staff very helpful with making reservations and calling taxis. Vincenza oversees a lovely breakfast on the rooftop. Bonus, you can see St. Peter's dome from the rooftop!

My sister and I had a fabulous week staying in this lovely hotel. It was our second visit, and I had also stayed previously with my husband and friends. I stayed in three other hotels before discovering the Portoghesi and this has now become our first choice for Rome. It is quiet, but within a 5 minute walk of some... More

Almost equal distance between Piazza Navona and Pantheon, this hotel is an ideal location for touring. Easy walk to either and a series of excellent restaurants, coffee shops, even grocery stores. Many rooms are quite small, but very comfortable. There is a lovely, fun rooftop breakfast room. Some outdoor seating if you prefer. Very helpful staff. A great value given... More

We enjoyed our stay here. The location was perfect and we were able to walk to all of the main attractions in Rome within 30 minutes. The hotel is small and quiet and nicely appointed with friendly staff. The rooms are small but clean. Would have preferred a more comfortable mattress and pillow. There is a nice breakfast spot on... The Hotel Portoghesi has a great central location. It's located on quiet street just a couple of blocks from the Piazza Navona (where we walked nightly) and the Pantheon. We spent five days here and had a wonderful stay overall. The room and bathroom were a little small but clean and comfortable except for the beds which were saggy and... More

We spent nine days in this hotel. The room was a little small and the bathroom was small with a tiny shower. Try to upgrade to a junior suite. That said, the staff was very helpful and friendly. They helped book day tours. The location was about two blocks to Piazza Navona and three blocks from the Pantheon. Also one... More

Perfect location-walked everywhere; several restaurants just feet away! Comfortable room with an updated bathroom. Helpful staff. The breakfast room was adorable and the food was very good. A true gem!

Staying in Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori

Neighborhood Profile
Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori
With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a five-minute walk of each other, the Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighborhood museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa drivers, street vendors, merchants, and locals. There is no rhyme or reason to its winding streets and there's something to see around every corner, so take pleasure in a spontaneous wander.
