We found this hotel on Trip Advisor, and were encouraged to book by reports of the good price, perfect central location and helpful staff. We were delighted with how Hotel Alexis was in person. We arrived in the very early hours of the morning and were welcomed and given plenty of tourist info and a map (very handy). The hotel... More

Very close to Termini station which is very important.Lower floors have better furniture.Clean place.A lot of families are coming to this place.Very poor breakfast.Everything in Europe is overpriced compared with service you will get.Thats why I prefer Asia better hotels, amazing food and more kind stuff which is working in hotels. In Europe they behave like they r giving you 10 star... Me, my mom and my younger sister booked a 2 bedroom apartment for a 3 days city break in Rome in late November. Though we arrived after midnight at the hotel the guy at the reception was waiting for us, he gave us maps, he showed us around the hotel (breakfast room, smoking terrace etc) and he took us to... I'd hate to write effusive praise of hotel Alexis, because selfishly, I would rather keep it for myself as one of the best kept secrets in my travels. But on second thought, I owe the wonderful women there so much that I must treat this as a thank you note to them: Lynn, Elisabetta, Connie, you made my stay so... More

We had a very nice time staying at the Hotel Alexis. On (early) arrival someone was waiting for us and quickly introduced us to the main spots to visit in Roma. We have been proposed a private bathroom, even though we ordered a shared one (no additionnal fee) ! The hotel is nice and clean, alcohol is allowed and having... More

I was really pleased with my staying in this hotel. The rooms are very clean and it's very close to Termini Station, so you won't have any trouble getting public transport. For two extra euros you can enlarge your breakfast, which I found quite cheap. All the people working here are very kind and willing to help you with what... More

The hotel is very inexpensive. It is located 2 blockes away from the railwaystation Termini, with metrolines, buslines and hop-on-hop off buses. It is a great location for exploring Rome. Our room was spacious and clean and nicely decorated, but no sitting group. Ensuite bathroom with shower (but no soap). Just outside the room there was a nice terassa with... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
