When we arrived we were met by Paolo who was very welcoming and gave us some good tips on how to get around and what to best see during our 4 days stopover. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything you needed including a balcony that looked out onto the street and was cleaned daily as well which considering... More

This is a long overdue report but we had such a great experience there that I owe it to share my thoughts. My husband and I capped off a 3 week European trip with a 2-day stay in Rome before flying back to Toronto. By the way, 2 days in Rome is soooo not enough but I digress.. We had... More

1. Very friendly and helpful owner. He is definitely a great guy. 2. Very clean. Professionally cleaned everyday. 3. Very close to Termini station. 4. Historical places and museums are in a walking distance. 5. When you close the windows, you don't hear the sounds outside. I also didn't hear any sound from other rooms.

We stayed here for 5 nights. Great experience we had, friendly owner, clean room, great location and affordable. The owner helped us to arrive from the airport. WiFi in the room. Bathroom was spacious, big double bed and neat balcony. Loved it :)

Although I stayed 2 nights I have to say it was a very pleasant stay. Location from termini is exactly 4 mins and its close by everything. Plenty of restaurants around for a quick breakfast and lunch. There are no receptionist, but questions or concerns by the owner are easily addressed. Had to be in contact for my arrival etc... More

I stayed in Hotel Bed in Roma for 3 nights during the April of 2015. This particular accommodation is what the name states. You get a bed in Roma. There is no reception and staff. The hotel is located in a very large building along with other hotels. Upon arrival the owner (Paolo) welcomes you and gives you a key... More

I've read good reviews of this hotel and decided to book a room for my husband and I in Dec 2014. I must say we were very happy with our stay. The hotel is located perhaps 3-5 mins walk away from the termini station. It's in a apartment building which has a lift. The building is secure. You will be... More

Very clean, near to main train station and metro, close also to city center but in a nice, quiet area. Room was clean and clened daily.Air condition and free wi-fi. Very good value for money. Paolo, the manager, was very nice, he gave us a tourist city map and some indication regarding what to visit. Even if he is not... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
