Since it was our first time traveling to Rome, the owner Francesco made us feel very welcomed and he instantly put us at ease. He was kind enough to provide us with maps and greatly helped us with locations, routes and general understanding of the area. Overall excellent services. It's a shame we didn't get to say goodbye to him... More

Top: Central location (15 minutes to colosseum/forum romanum by feet). Our room was very clean and had a daily clean-up. The host, Francesco was always helpful regarding any queries. Only weak point: the breakfast without any fresh products (fruits, fresh bread & maybe cereals). But we had a good coffee & tea on every time. Good value in terms of... More

Me and my husband stayed at this wonderful place on 14-21 September and I must confess, that was a great place to enjoy this eternal city!!! We managed to see all famous ancient buildings as this BnB was pretty close to Colosseum (15 min walk), Termini (10 min) and Manzini. Thanks to the owner Franceso and his lovely wife Manuela... Located 15 mins from termini, 5 mins from manzine, that closest subway and 15 mins walk from the colosseum the b&b is in a great location. A lovely restaurant is beneath that had excellent food and friendly staff. Francesco, the owner, was fantastic. Carried out bags, treated us like friends, welcomed us in, gave free drinks and showed us the... More

We stayed at this bnb from 04-06 September, and it was really a great stay, not far from the bus/metro stations, easy to get to many places. Nice restaurant on the same street. The stay was nice also thanks to the owner of this bnb, they are so lovely and friendly, we just felt like staying at good friends' house!... More

We had a wonderful short stay at Daysleeper! The owners are very friendly and kind. The booking process with them was very professional and efficient. And I didn't quite recognise all the REM references when making the booking, which was a great bonus after arriving! It's not a typical B&B, as you have everything (drinks, food, fridge) in your room,... More

An absolutely beautiful place to stay. Great location, close to wonderful eateries, the colosseum and some shops. Not far from termini station however I would advise to get a taxi as the path is rough on luggage. I can't tell you how amazing the host and hostess are. Spent close to an hour explaining the sites having coffees and making... More

We were very lucky to find such a great place in Rome. Of course we saw the great reviews on Trip Advisor so maybe we should not have been surprised, but with a big city you always wonder a bit. The Daysleeper is just alongside the Termini station, the quickest route is along a road that isn't the nicest part... More

We went to Rome for my partner's surprise birthday trip this April. Normally wherever we go we stay in hotels outside of the city but this time we needed affordable central location. We've never been to B&B before but I can honestly say that it was a good decision to come to Daysleeper! Highlights: -super friendly owner Francesco very attentive,... More

One of the most impressive aspects is the friendly check in by Francesco. He carried our luggage, made us coffee, told us all about the local restaurants etc. This place is very good value, not fancy but modest, very clean, with some great features such as a whirlpool bathtub, complete breakfast supplies in the room. It is convenient to the... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
