We booked a suite so we (the parents) &our kids could have our own bathroom , tv & privacy, the rooms are well laid out with plenty of storage space coffee facilities & a fridge which is supplied with bottled water ( free of... The location of this hotel is great, you have restaurants that are very close and of course the Vatican is right their. The staff members are terrific and make you feel valued as a guest. I would recommend visiting over a Wednesday so that you can see the pope during his service. Rooms are very good, our travel partners room... More

We spent 5 nights in January 2015. This was our first time to Rome so while I have nothing to compare this experience to, we were extremely happy with the accommodations and the staff. We arrived with a car which is apparently unheard of but the clerk on duty offered to give us his parking space so we didn't have... More

As its name implies, this hotel is very close to the Vatican City: a 2/3 minute walk takes you into St Peters Square. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and whilst the hotel has no restaurant facilities, there's an ample selection of places to eat in the adjoining streets. Its greatest asset, however, is the helpfulness of its staff. Daniel,... More

My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 nights over NYE - it was a treat for his birthday. The hotel was good value and clean. The location was great for us. The reception staff were really helpful. I would recommend a stay there for the price.

When I go to Rome, I now always choose to stay at the Vatican View. As a solo traveller, I want to stay somewhere where I feel safe and secure and this hotel gives me that. It has a great location near the Vatican however it is only a short walk across the river to all of the major tourist... More

The view - don't get fooled by the name of the hotel or what it boasts. The view of St Peters is hardly visible. You are better off walking towards the square or even towards castle st Angelo for a better view. The rooms are small but comfortable. The lift is tiny. Can fit in 2 adults and 1 suitcase.... More

My husband and I are very impressed with your counter staff Daniel. He is not only very friendly, warm and funny, he is also exceptionally helpful. We are aware that he has gone the extra mile to help us and deeply appreciate his initiative and helpful nature. He is indeed very hardworking and has a positive attitude. Also, he speaks... More

We recently attended our daughter's wedding at the Vatican. The Vatican View Hotel proved to be the ideal choice and location for our family stay. We arrived late in the day but were warmly received and escorted to our rooms by a hotel staff member. Each of the three rooms we occupied were spacious, clean and modern. The hotel is... More

This little Hotel is a great place to stay, just outside of the Vatican and a great bargain as well. The Hotel could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Even though the trip upstairs is a bit tight they were quick to carry our luggage up and back down. The location is close to everything around the Vatican and... More

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighborhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighborhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighborhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
