I'm afraid I cannot share the enthusiastic opinions of other traveler about this property. But let me first start with some clear positives: the location - still probably unlike most visitors I didn't chose this area because of the proximity of the Colosseum but it is just close to my friend's house whom I was visiting. But the location is... More

Great customer service. Modern room but unable to properly connect to the WIFI. A little loud in the late evening due to the bar downstairs but tolerable. The location was perfect for walking between the Vatican and back. Colosseum was next door and the view from the front of the hotel was quite beautiful in the spring. Thank you 2nd... More

Even though we are a same sex couple, we booked this 'gay friendly' hotel completely by accident through Expedia! The hotel was very good value for money and in an excellent location by the Colosseum. We had a lovely view from our window over the Gladiator barracks and the room was really modern, well decorated and had a huge bathroom.... More

Rome was not easy when choosing a hotel that was both well located and reasonably priced. I was extremely apprehensive about the hotel I had chosen. I was pleasantly surprised the room was modern and perfect. I would say more like staying in your own little apartment minus the kitchen. The bathroom had a massive shower and everything was brand... I loved the hotel. It's really right in front of the Colosseum. The staff is really kind and helpful. The only issue would be the front desk hours. The reception closes at 5pm and opens at 10am. We had a problem at night that could only be resolved in the morning. But apart from that the hotel is great.

We absolutely adored this place! This hotel is meant as a gay hotel, but as a straight couple we were really welcomed. The room was gorgeous and the soundproofing from the traffic outside was amazing! You literally couldn't hear anything when the French doors were shut. The location is just fantastic, as it's obviously next door to the colosseum, meaning... More

This hotel is right on top of a bar. Very loud and NOT a family environment. We were a family of four. After a miserable first night, we left the hotel and got another hotel for the remaining two nights. I explained everything to the hotel manager. I requested for refund for remaining two nights that I already paid thru... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We truly value the opinions of our customers and we apologize that we did not meet your expectations. I just want to remember to our guest that the room booked was at 2nd Floor of our property. All the rooms have two soundproof windows, so it seems just a little... More

K staff are great. Nice room for sure. The wall sure needed a paint job though. Power went out for 7 hrs, and it was so hot , couldn't sleep and ruined our next day. Andrea did apologize. Fine , not his fault. But I guess we expected abut more considering it was like 240 cad a night. Website Said... More

I visited Rome in May 2014 with my mum. This hotel was awesome! Beautiful rooms, great location, really good breakfast and first class service. Our host André was helpful and cheerful, the best service I've had at a hotel. My only regret was not joining the party, we could hear a bit of every night from the bar down stairs.... More

We loved our stay here at the Second floor. we stayed in Freddy Mercury and loved the room. Scrupulously clean with a tiny private balcony. Excellent location and delicious food. Andrea was extremely warm and courteous and made our stay very comfortable. Thanks Andrea !

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
