The room was very modern and extremely well done with the exception of the window shared between the main office and the bedroom. The lights stay on overnight and there was no shade between the office and us so our room was light even when our lights were out. The hotel boosts Colosseum views but we did not have them.... More

This is in a fantastic location and has been recently renovated. It is opposite the Colosseum and close to transport and walking distance (15 mins) to the city landmarks including museums, Trevy fountain and the Spanish steps. The rooms are modern and a good size. The staff are great and very helpful - I will definitely stay here again when... More

It was really great to be able to stay at the 2nd Floor on my long weekend trip to Rome. I booked the Michelangelo - at the front of the hotel and had an amazing view of the Colosseum (sticking my head out of the window) and also of the adjacent ruins. Andrea was very nice to deal with for... More

Great and helpful staffs, with good location close to colosseo. Rooms are good but depend on your choice. If you prefer silent nights, choose rooms facing inward. Otherwise, they have rooms facing busy streets and beautiful vista. We rented twice for different dates, which means something of special.

We are very sorry for this bad experience, the visitor found a faulty shower in the room booked but the staff tried to find the best solution.First of all we tried to solve the issue by proposing a change in a room of the same rank, we offered to them (very willingly) a meal in the hotel restaurant; we applied... The rooms were clean, good beds and the staff are the most friendly people I've ever met. It's located on top of the most famous gay bar of Rome, but the isolation works excellent! It's one of the cheaper hotels in Rome with the best quality! I will certainly go back...

I'm pleased to let you know that we had such a great experience in Rome, and after days travelling around Europe it's always good when you find a place where you feel like home. Well that's how we felt staying at B &B Second Floor, with it's new stylish bedrooms just finished few months earlier. The room is not only... More

The hotel is located right next to the Coliseum, the building is divided into two rooms, the first suitable lodging and other common private stay in a double room, an old building but all the rooms are modern and very new. Rooms are clean, comfortable and wide, soundproof windows from the outside and if you get a room with a... More

Booked for the location - right by colosseum and a quick metro stop to train station. Rooms were clean, staff (when there as its not manned all the time) friendly. Main issue for us was the noise. The corridor where rooms come off is just too noisy. You can hear conversations, phones and the main door bangs loudly every time... More

We were met at reception by Alex who was extremely friendly and efficient. We were then checked into the Michelangelo room which was... Stunningly well designed and decorated. The hotel is situated about 50 meters from the coliseum and we could see it clearly from our window. Large, breezy and bright room which had a fantastic en suite . Set... More
