The hotel is very old and the room are very small, but it is something that we could expect in Europe. I think that they should invest in maintenance, we faced some problems with the bathroom, it does not work as it should. However, the staff was very nice, they have a permanent attitude to solve the problems, it is... More

Small hotel, just one floor in a building in urgent need of a repainting. Don't be scared of the entrance: the hotel is well maintained, clean, good rooms, friendly staff. You could do considerably worse in this price range, particularly in a tourist city like Rome.

To caveat this review, Rome is like Paris. Hotels will always be a bit grim and expensive, so to give it a 3, is a Roman 3 (III). By Rome's standards, the location couldn't be better. Walking distance to all the main sights, with the longest walks being to the colosseum, being half and hour, and to the station at... More

What a nice place ! The good : ideal location, quiete and peaceful, very nice cosy rooms. Nice furniture. Private owners, motivated. The 'to be improved' : wifi not working properly, need to improve some functionalities in the bathroom but they are almost there. I would return for sure without a doubt. The breakfast is not really good but nice... More

We found this hotel in R. Steves book. It is a great location, close to the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon. The room and bathroom were clean and the staff all spoke English which was important as my wife and I are both in our 60's and do not speak Italian. There is an elevator that is very helpful since... I know Rome, so had chosen this hotel for its location right in the middle of everything. Equidistant between Spanish Steps, Piazza del Popolo, Pantheon, and not so much further to the Vatican. From previous reviews we had not expected a lift (70 steps) but there is one. Not only that, but the receptionist came and lifted our bags up... More

Keeping hotel costs down was a top priority when planning my two 1/2 week vacation in Europe. When it came to Rome,  I took Rick Steves' advice regarding hotel location.  He said in Rome  you want your hotel to be near the Pantheon and boy was he right.  Lodging in this neighborhood can be pricey, but I still needed to...
