Located in the very city center: 5 minutes to the nearest subway entrance, 10 min from Termini, 15 min from Colosseum and Roman Forum. Spacious room, wonderful breakfast (coffee, tea, juices, pastries, homemade omelet, fresh baked bread...). Sandra was a wonderful tourist guide, she showed us the nearest points of interest, tips for lunch and dinner... We were afraid about... More

Great location in Rome and a very intimate and homelike environment. Mauro made us breakfast and showed us on the map exactly what we should see in the city and helped us arrange our whole itinerary!!

Great location, very easy to get to from the Train Station. Very central, allowing us to walk to all of the city's attractions. Big, clean room and bathroom. The service was great during our entire stay. Mauro made us feel very welcome and cooked us an omelette as a special extra for breakfast. We had a great few days.Highly recommended!

Couldn't find for ages despite map and instructions, no signs, the only indication a tiny sticker on a door. No way to get in unless someone is there, pressing the buzzer for half an hour got no response, finally got in by someone with key, checked all floors with no idea which room. Finally we asked someone who pointed to... More

The real problem is that Tripadvisor allow anyone to review any hotel or restaurant. Tripadvisor do not control the reviews and there is the problem that anywone cam make reviews even if they didn't really stay at the hotel. There are many situations around the world of false reviews or funny things like in England where a restaurant who do... More

This bed and breakfast is definitely one of the best places I've seen. You'll definitely feel at home with their very accommodating and friendly staff. What's even more impressive is the fact that it is conveniently located in the central part of the city making some of the best tourist attractions really accessible. Felt like I was just at home... I found little bit difficoult to find the place, but Sandra called me in the morning to be sure about my arrival time. When i found i discover a good place, exellent location in the city centre just few minutes walking to Colosseum. The breakfast was very large and Sandra the host very helpful and always ready to give me... More

I booked the hotel for 3 nights in mid august (during the 15th august festival in rome - so a very busy time for hotels) well in advance of our arrival. Shortly after booking and paying a deposit Sandra, the lady i assume runs the 'hotel', emailed me to ask our arrival airport and flight number. After emailing her 3... More

The location of the hostel is perfect, just down the road from Termini train station and Santa Maria Maggio area. Sandra gave us a warm welcome, although there was some confusion with rooms. We read the reviews before we went therefore this made it easier to find. As there are no signs. Overall the hostel did the job for a... More

After booking a room for 2 nights, I was shortly informed by Sandra through email that there was a mistake made and there actually wasn't any room available left. Asked if I could then get my deposit back and she said okay and to email my bank account details to her. I did so subsequently the next day, but heard... More

Sandra, the owner was very kind and helpful. There was 3 of us stying in a private room, it was clean and comfortable (there's a TV, but we didn't need it). Location is close to the train station, so for the price I can't think of a better deal. There's a fruit bowl in the corridor that was constantly being... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
