We needed to spend a night in Rome before our flight back home and we quickly had to find a place to stay that's near enough the Termini Station (where the 5 Euro buses with WiFI takes you to and from the airport park) and to walk to different sites. Surprisingly, this small very clean 4-room B&B (that happen to... More

+ good location 1 km from collosseum, about 500m from train station, old city about 2,5 km + the hop on/off busses stop in front of the b&b + extremely clean + very kind host, provides you all 'good' tips + breakfast is basic but ok (cold breakfast) + airco works perfectly, no noise - situated on a very, very,... Thank you very much about “+” ! We are so glad for your good review. Our windows have double glasses now. So you can close the window to have silence. If you have hot with close windows, you can turn on the air conditioned. Bye and thank you so much again for your good feedback :) More

This quiet B&B is located in very short distance from the main train station. The first platform, where one gets off from Fiumicino Airport, you walk right out the station and Maior can't much more than a straight five minute walk. My single room was very quiet and very clean. Private bath down the hall also very clean. Breakfast is... More

My husband and I visited Rome for 3 nights. Maior is awesome, extremely clean rooms on one large floor in an old building. At first I thought it's so quiet and not advisable for a single woman but I was mistaken, the rooms were all occupied by other guests they just all very private and every morning this wonderful guy... I needed a place near the station for a short visit to Rome and was nervous about the neighborhood, but Maior is across from Santa Maria Maggiore on a busy enough street to feel safe and never isolated. I was pleased to find both my room and bathroom nicely decorated and immaculately clean. The staff take good care of settling... More

This was a lovely place to stay at. We stayed with our 21 month old son. It is a an old 1890s building so the room is big with a big washroom as well. We had a room overlooking the Santa Maria Maggiore. The place is very clean. It is less than 10 minute walk from Termini. If you are... More

This place is based in an excllent location right in the city.. (Walkable) to attractions such as the trevi fountain and the colloseum. The rooms are also great, extremly clean and modern! The maior is however difficult to find as not many locals were aware of its whereabouts. We would also suggest that you confirm your arrival/check in time at... More

This is an excellent B&B situated close to Termini Railway Station. The room were large, spotless and quite free of noise despite overlooking the street. Our host who welcomed us on arrival gave very good advice on where to eat in Rome. There is not much negative to relate. We thought the lighting in the room were good but extremely... More

This is a great B&B, near the Termini and in front of Santa María Maggiore Church. Large and clean bedrooms, kitchen facilities to prepare coffee, tea at any time. Very friendly host, he gave us a map with the main attractions and his recommendations on places and restaurants, he was very helpful and kind (as the saying goes: "when a... More

This B&B was a really nice surprise as i had quite low expectations as it was a last minute booking. It is in a great location near termini so easy to walk from the station with luggage and easy enough to find just make sure you know what it looks like from the outside before you arrive as there is... Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
