Fell in love with this place, it's become our"go to" every September when we're in Rome. In the heart of Trastevere, a small B&B style facility with just 3 rooms. We've stayed in Rafaello, but even the smallest room is a fairly comfortable size for Rome. This time we came with friends and got great use out of the common... More

My husband, daughter, and I stayed in the Michelangelo room and there was plenty of space for the the three of us. The bathroom is amazing- pack some bubble bath and make time for a soak in the huge bath. The apartment is presented in a very stylish manner and once you arrive through the door you soon forget the... More

There is no doubt that this accommodation has much to offer the tourist to Rome. Located in the very middle of a cafe and restaurant orientated area and walking distance to many tourist attractions as well as shopping in the Piazza Navona area. The staff are delightful and provide excellent assistance for all your needs. The rooms are well maintained... More

We stayed in the Raffaello room, this past June. The rooms are located in a 17th century building, but the facilities are modern and furnished beautifully. You will have to walk up two flights of steep stone steps to access two of the rooms... I think the other room is up another flight. They state this on their website so... More

We had the opportunity to stay in the Michelangelo room at BDB. The room was spacious with an excellent terrace. We spent many evenings on the terrace with a bottle of wine, winding down as the sun was setting. The location as a whole is perfect for what we were looking for with many restaurant and attraction locations near by.... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in the Caravaggio room which is small but beautifully decorated and has a warm and cosy feel. Pro's of this place include: lovely and comfortable room with gorgeous view, neat bathroom, free wifi, tea, coffee and juice facilities in the common area that's available all day, location, location, location. Con's: noise from the street... More

I stayed in the Carvaggio room (smallest) Pros: The bed was perfect, foam topper of some sort. Bathrobes and slippers, luxurious waterfall shower, lovely room accents, ample closet space, safe. My room had windows looking out on Santa Maria church and over a quiet side street. On opposite side of common area from the other two rooms so I never... More

What can i say? I really recommend it! Nice location, excellent service and very friendly staff (i've just remember some chit chats with one of the guys). If you're not secure where to stay, don't think twice. It was my first time in Rome but i really hope to return someday and it will be in BDB Luxury Rooms Trastevere,... More

The rooms are gorgeous and meticulously clean. Wonderful location in Trastevere. Bar below gets a little loud at night but it wasn't a problem for us. We loved the location in Trastevere. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

Stayed in "Raffaello"--clean, bright, spacious. It was relatively quiet despite the nightlife on the street below. PERFECT location. Service was impeccable: When my sister left her bag with her wallet and passport in our room at 5AM on the day we were leaving for the airport, the staff on-call was kind enough to send someone with a key. Would stay... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
