I stayed at Hip Suites for one night only. I found the staff to be pleasant and helpful, the room to be very clean and perfectly sized. There was air conditioning which was definitely a must during the heat of July! Located right in the quaint cobbled streets of Trastevere, their location is definitely a selling point. Breakfast is included,... More

I stayed here twice and I like it very much. I love Trastevere and if it is possible I will stay here in a futury surely. My room was small but I slept very well. Because the bed is really big and comfortable. The staff is sooooo friendly.

I went with my parents who are on the older side for 3 nights and had the apartment. The host Tomaso was very nice and extremely helpful in his restaurant suggestions and especially his tips and hints for how to visit vatican city and the colliseum in the best possible way with the least amount of time spent in line.... We stayed at the Hip Suites our first night in Italy prior to joining a tour group. I chose Hip Suites based on the reviews of others and was glad that I did. It was very clean, quiet (even though the street below was busy) and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We did use their driver service and... More

You carnt go wrong booking this hotel, if you want a great location. Your walk out your front door ( Big large wooden doors, are the main entrance to this hotel). You are on a beautiful little cobblestone street, full of markets, shops, restaurants and bars. Two minutes walk to the river. The room itself is nice, but basic. The... More

We have just returned from 4 days in Rome. I travelled alone with my daughter who is 13 (we have an annual girly holiday). I felt safe at every stage, the Romans were helpful and kind (I do speak Italian fluently which helped) and the staff at Hip Suites were fantastic, Tomaso who we saw for most of your stay... More

What a wonderful place! The Hip Suites was our first stop in Rome, The building itself is old, huge doors and an old fashioned elevator. Our suite was Hip and modern, white decor and clean. Outside our window we could see across to other apartments balconies that reflected everyday life, flowers, laundry ect. The streets are bustling with merchants, restaurants... More

It seemed very promising to stay in Hip Suites hotel who claim they're "the best stay in Rome" but we had a very bad experience staying there last week. Every thing went wrong: The room they gave us was not very welcoming. It was very small and not clean enough, everything was old, peeling, not painted and with mole. On... More

We are very sorry, that the guest's experience has been below expectations and we would like to provide some clarification about the comments of the customer. We have assigned our largest double room and the guests never reported to me any issue about the room size; in that case i would assign a more enjoyable room (if available). We had... More

Easy to find just by the tram stop 'Belli', the room was spacious enough for two of us, overlooking the street, which was really quaint. Very clean looking, being all white, with a really comfy bed, the hotel was in a good location. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the vicinity, which was great as we walked everywhere... We stayed in 2 suites in September. The rooms are beautifully decorated with fabulous bathrooms. Tomaso was so helpful with information before and during our stay ... With fantastic restaurant recommendations. The small entry foyer to our rooms has an espresso machine which was lovely. The only consideration is there is nowhere to sit and relax - not really a... Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
