Relaid Maddalena is a wonderful place to stay in Rome. The location can truly not be beat. It is only a few minutes walk from most of the sites (less than a minute from the Pantheon- you can see it from the balcony of the breakfast room!). The longest walk would be to the Vatican which was about 25 or... More

We loved our stay here. Part of the charm is that you are in a 16th century bldg which means no lift. This may be a problem if you are mobility challenged, but 1-2 flights of stairs was not that bad. You are in a great location with the Parthenon 1 block away. Lots of cafes, gelati shops and interesting... More

Couldn't have asked for more. A lovely room, modern yet a truly authentic Rome building with beautiful stone stairs, a huge green door. Our corner room had two windows that opened onto the Piazza della Maddalena below. One night, a woman was singing the most beautiful opera below our window in the square. It was an unforgettable moment. We were... More

We loved this boutique hotel we went back again after last year. Situated in piazza Maddalena it's so close to the pantheon and all major attractions are within walking distance. Having breakfast looking at the ~500 year old church from the window is magic. The staff are customer focussed , friendly and the rooms are spacious and cleans. Some amazing... More

We stayed for 10 nights in order to savor Rome more fully. As others have said the location could hardly be any better. Within walking distance of so many historical/cultural attractions with a multitude of good to great restaurants nearby. Service, by Francesco and his entire staff, was professional and caring. When a minor illness struck they went out of... More

Relais Maddalena was really a shining star in a pretty awesome trip already. The location is great - overlooking a small square just past the Pantheon. It took us a few minutes to figure out where the front door was, though! (Hint, the green doors right next door to the little restaurant in the Piazza della Maddalena). We'd highly recommend... Best thing about this boutique hotel is the location. The accommodations were very good too. Bed comfortable, towels were amazingly soft. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because when we arrived the doors were locked. We stood outside for a while, kept knocking, and finally someone came out to greet us. We were very exhausted after traveling for... More

I am a regular client of this bijoux hotel in the heart of Rome's historic centre and have just returned from yet another excellent stay. Francesco and his staff always make me feel very welcome and they always manage to give me the same room. The hotel has a particular fascination for me because it is in the same building... More

This little hotel in the heart of downtown old Rome, makes you feel like you are experiencing all of Rome. Such down to earth people who operated the Relais Maddalena. So cozy with a little bar just outside the hotel. Right across the street is a basilica. Recommend to anyone who would like to experience Rome.

An apartment-like hotel very close to Pantheon. When you come to Piazza Maddalena, you find No:6 but there is no big sign of the hotel name, just go and ring the bell. :) Walking distance to every historical place. Clean, comfortable and cozy rooms. Not a classical hotel with a 24 hour reception but like a house that you enter... More

Staying in Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori

Neighborhood Profile
Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori
With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a five-minute walk of each other, the Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighborhood museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa drivers, street vendors, merchants, and locals. There is no rhyme or reason to its winding streets and there's something to see around every corner, so take pleasure in a spontaneous wander.
