We were welcomed by the owner and staff of Little Queen upon our afternoon arrival and were made to feel like family. Our room was large, bright and cheerful. It had all the amenities that a chain hotel would have in their rooms. Our bed was most comfortable. The bathroom was stocked with all our needs including hair dryer (powerful... More

I stayed here for two nights on the recommendation of a colleague. On approach, I wasn't quite sure what lay in store but as soon as I had entered the arched gate, the experience improved dramatically. The room was amazing, with preserved antique ceilings. The prices of the mini-bar were very reasonable and the breakfast and terrace superb. The staff... More

I was recommended to this B&B by my brother, and stayed over 3 nights in August for my honeymoon. The staff was so accommodating, the location was perfect and the room was nice and spacious - and to add to that, we had an amazing view of the ruins. There was no noise either and it was within walking distance... More

The little queen is all about personal service and a great location. Upon arrival, our every need was met. Our host even ran out to buy us kosher provisions when he heard us discussing kosher restaurants. The location was ideal for our two walking tours, as well. Lastly, I was so impressed that they contacted us in advance and had... More

We loved this hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room very spacious, clean and quiet. Wonderful view overlooking Largo di Argentina. We heard no noise at night because of the double glazed windows. Breakfast on the terrazzo was excellent. Perfect location. Easy walk to Colosseum, Pantheon, Campo di Fiori, Piazza Navona and Jewish ghetto. Sara and Sergio were very helpful.... More

We have stayed in Rome several times and this is the best location yet. Situated in Largo Argentina all the sites are 5 - 15 minutes away by foot. The staff were great, the room was large/modern/clean/air-conditioned (a must in July) and breakfast decent. Would stay here again for a 2/3 night stay.

As in all 14th century buildings, the entrance is a bit depressing.. a flight of stairs without a lift... but, the few suites, are impecable ! Very good breakfast in a charming terrazzo in an old courtyard, beautifully decorated with ancient paintings in the ceilings, modern bathrooms, and the charming presence of the owners, Vittorio and Simone. Near Torre Argentina,... More

It was wonderful to stay in a place that reflects some of the history of Rome: our room had floor tiles hundreds of years old and frescoes on the ceiling! Combined with a comfortable bed, modern, clean bathroom and the kind host, I would say this is among the best combinations of charms, value and location around. The terrace (available... More

Staying in Ghetto

Neighborhood Profile
Ghetto
The mini-neigborhood Ghetto holds tight to its reputation as a stand-alone area thanks to its nearly 300-year history as the home to Rome’s Jewish community. Times changed in the 20th century, but the tiny area still retains its mix of tradition, community, and history. Ancient and medieval architectural design frames apartments, bakeries, shops, and restaurants. Friends and families are the pulse of the neighborhood, keeping company on the Via del Portico d’Ottavia. The Ghetto observes the traditional Jewish Shabbat: businesses close from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown.
