I came to Domus Valeria after travelling solo for several weeks throughout the rest of Italy. This was my final stop on a long trip, and Marco was so kind and welcoming. Sometimes after a long trip of trains and dragging luggage, all you need is a friendly face, and Marco was that. The place is beautifully decorated and the... More

My sister and I had the pleasure to stay at Domus Valeria for four days in October 2014. We stayed in the red room which was lovely, big and comfortable. There is a shared bath but as others have said there are only three rooms and there are two baths- so you never have to wait. Marco is so helpful.... More

I came to Rome as a single traveler traveling alone. I immediately felt a warm connection with Marco, the owner, when he greeted me at the front door of his building. He immediately made me feel at home. He became my guide, my mentor and, most importantly, my friend during my stay. He knows how to make everyone feel at... More

The rooftop terrace is the ultimate place to have breakfast in Rome. And imagine, you're just seconds from the metro, the boutiques, and the Spanish Steps. Tip: This is a perfect place to stay, but especially with someone who is new to European travel.

Thanks for your review. Really appreciated thank you! For me is always important to receive feedback from our guests to always improve, and there is always something better! Although this is not a "real" business, but as I often say, a way of life, for me it is important that our guests feel always at home. Thanks again and arrivederci! More

We easily found Domus Valeria only a few steps from the metro and piazza di Spagna. The friendly host Marco showed us trough the cosy appartment in an elegant Roman townhouse with a traditional staircase and elevator like in the movies. Our room was very pleasant but even topped by a spacious roof terrace with greenery and stunning views. Breakfast... More

This was our second visit to Domus Valeria, one last year and again last month. There was no doubt that upon returning to Rome we would stay here again. The B&B is quaint, just 3 rooms, but very roomy with a large outdoor rooftop patio. The hosts, Marco & Erick are great people, friendly and helpful. They have a vast... More

This is a splendid place - in every sense - to stay for a short while in Rome. Much has already been written about the owner Marco's friendliness and helpfulness. We would endorse all of it, and it's that, in the end, which counts most. He couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. The B&B's location can hardly be bettered... More

Thank you so much for the reviews and your comments, it was really a pleasure being your host! Thank you also for what you pointed out. We stayed here at the beginning of our two week honeymoon and it was fantastic. Firstly Marco is a great host. He met us at the taxi at the end of the street and continued to assist us throughout our stay - he was always around if we needed him but wasn't in your face about it and we really... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
