Domus Valeria is a very nice B&B in Campo Marzio, just a block away from Piazza D'Espagne. Wonderful location, close to many famous sites, fabulous restaurants and shops nearby. Marco, the owner, is just charming, and it was great getting to know him. I'd recommend his place to anyone.

Recently I spent two weeks in the sweet single room at Domus Valeria. Not only is this a gorgeous B&B adorned with antiques, all of home's comforts and a terrace the size of a small European nation, it is so much more than that. I was immediately embraced by Marco and Guilio as family. I felt more like a sister... More

Domus Valeria sets the bar high for other B&B owners. Off course it's hard to beat a perfect location with a rooftop terrace in the middle of Rome. Located next to the Spanish steps, busy shops and metro the B&B is suprisingly quiet once you're inside. And elevated above the poor masses below the terrace is an oasis fit for... More

I stayed here for 2 nights as a single traveler in early March. Marco was a fantastic host and the apartment is gorgeous with a lovely sun terrace. On the first night there was 1 other guest but I didn't hear them at all and I was the only guest on the second night so it was lovely to have... More

Rome was the last stop for my hubby and I on our 2 1/2 week trip to Europe. We were so glad we stayed at Domus Valeria! Marco could not have been a more friendly, accommodating and helpful host. Before we even left Australia, Marco helped us find a very good walking tour guide (Fabio), and suggested we pre-book our... More

I recently stayed at Marco's wonderful, cozy, luxurious B&B for 3 nights, and I highly recommend it. It's located mere meters from the Spanish Steps, easy for getting to the Metro (subway), great as a base for the nearby shopping/upscale neighborhood, as well as for all of Rome's sites. Marco helped me make reservations at several galleries, gave me tips... More

My husband and I had the pleasure to stay at Domus Valeria for four days. Marco, the owner provided us the greatest hospitality from showing us how to use the key to every single details which you need to know in Rome. Breakfast was lovely and every little chat in the morning gave us more in depth ideas of italian... More

I came to Domus Valeria after travelling solo for several weeks throughout the rest of Italy. This was my final stop on a long trip, and Marco was so kind and welcoming. Sometimes after a long trip of trains and dragging luggage, all you need is a friendly face, and Marco was that. The place is beautifully decorated and the... More

My sister and I had the pleasure to stay at Domus Valeria for four days in October 2014. We stayed in the red room which was lovely, big and comfortable. There is a shared bath but as others have said there are only three rooms and there are two baths- so you never have to wait. Marco is so helpful.... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
