The hostess Nicoletta was helpful before we travelled to Rome. She arranged for a taxi from the airport which did save us about 15 euros. She welcomed us with open arms and was helpful with directions to places of interest. She used her iPad to do the translations which was fine with us. She speaks little english, I speak no... More

This was our 5th time in Rome and after always opting for the more expensive hotels we decided to try this B & B. Nicola was fabulous and couldn't do enough for us. We only saw her son once and he was very pleasant. The rooms were clean and although there was no airco and the noise outside was ..well... More

Let me begin by telling you that Nicoletta is a wonderfully warm and kind hostess. Each morning she greeted us as we left our very comfortable room on our way out to breakfast. During this time Nicoletta advised us where to go and what to visit. She makes a fantastic in house tourist information centre. Our room at B&B l... More

It's taken a great deal of strength for me to even be able to write this review, but I felt it needed to be done to spare others from what my family experienced and the others who had the courage to place their reviews. Please do not be fooled by their ranking as we were. If you will notice all... More

We stayed three nights at I Fotografi al Colosseo. The hostess Nicoletta was very welcoming and friendly. The room was nice and fresh. This B&B has a great location: A quiet and pleasant neighborhood right beside Colosseum. Even with the many tourists around Colosseum the area has is quiet and pleasant atmosphere. In the same street as I Fotografi al... More

What a lovely place! From the first minute you step in La Signora Nicoletta will make you feel right at home, such a beautiful lady! The location could not be better, The Flavian Amphitheatre (Colosseum) is just two blocks away. A great Trattoria is just around the corner where you can taste an unbelievable pizza! You'll have an amazing time... More

We stayed there three nights. Since the beginning we get confortable on the terrace of the apartment waiting our room, while Nicoletta offered juice. Very well located and confortable. We liked more the breakfast that was served in the bar in front. You have two choise of bars, choose this. From there is easy to get anywhere, lot of buses... More

There is much to recommend about this bed and breakfast. This year (2013) was our second stay at this friendly, family-run B&B in the heart of ancient Rome, and returning to the via Celimontana felt like coming home thanks to our delightful hosts. Nicoletta, and her daughter Nilen, are kindness itself and go out of their way to settle you... More

The bed & breakfast is in a splendid location, super close to the colosseum & the roman forum. It's however in a very quiet authentic neighborhood of via celimontana with some good restaurants, walk up the street and you end up in a gorgeous park with villa, ideal to relax on a sunny afternoon. The building is beautiful and very... More

Good location but owner's son up late in kitchen making noise with friends. Mold in shower, no soap provided and no change of towels or sheets for one-week stay.

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
