We stayed in DomusAmor near Piazza Navona, booking it as a bed&breakfast. First of all, Mara, who took care of our arrival and guide to the apartment and Rome, has been very helpful. The place is not a bed&breakfast, it's an apartment. They ask you to let them know about your time of arrival, saying that there isn't reception for... More

The small pension is only 10 min. by foot away from the Colloseum and is recommendable to travelers with a small budget. The pension has got only three rooms. We had a three bed room reserved and the room was big enough for three people. Bathroom was a bit small though, but we had everything we needed and everything was... More

Stayed here for 4 nights. As others have pointed out, the breakfast could be a lot better. It's great that you can help yourself whenever you choose to, but the quality and variety of the products provided is not good. This is the main reason for giving a rating of "average" instead of "very good": if a place is called... More

The negatives: There are only three rooms and when another guest comes in or out it's noisy - heard every step. But other wise it's extremely quiet - no street noise at all. The owner/operator is not always available if there is any issues. Maybe that's good? The positives: Price clean comfortable private bath great location The owner gives a... More

This B&B is located within walking distance of the Colosseum (just across a park), Roman Parliament, etc.. in a very picturesque area and on a hilltop. It's a small Bed and breakfast apartment, which is perfect if you are looking for a place to crash, while out all day sightseeing. The pros: very independent, you will be received by the... More

We stayed at this bed and breakfast in February 2013. It is a bit off the beaten path but in an easily accessible location, a mere 10 minute walk to the colosseum. The b&b is an apartment with three bedrooms. They all have their own private bathroom and the kitchen area is shared. In the kitchen, you'll find an internet-connected... More

If you like your own company and prefer not to mix with people at breakfast or like to get up in your own time then this is not for you. The apartment carries noise so other guests will wake you up getting their breakfast, we also had a dog barking of a night time and lots of noise coming from... More

Brilliant hotel for the independat traveler. Ideal location only mins from the Colosseum and main train station. The breakfast was minimal so we bought fruit and some good bread rather than the plastic wrapped stuff. Would definately come again.

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
