We stayed here as a family of 4 for a sightseeing holiday. We thought it was in a fantastic location as it was just around the corner from the Termini station to get a bus or train and in walking distance for many sights, our favourites being the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. Nearby are a great range of bars,... More

Great room that's very tidy and modern, albeit small. Can't fault receptionists who are very friendly and service has been great. Breakfast is also fine for a quick start to the day. Would come back again.

We chose the iQ on the basis of location, price and other travelers' reviews. We now will recommend it to others, and hope to stay there again. The hotel was spotless, comfortable and walking distance to many sights, to public transportation and Termini Station. Staff was friendly and VERY helpful, and they responded to requests {e.g., for extra pillows] immediately.... More

First impressions: our room STUNK! and continued to stink for our 3 day stay....only way to get rid of smell was to have air con on. The washing machine broke mid way through the washing cycle, but the staff were lovely and efficient in fixing the problem. Also, the safe wouldn't open (when we were in a rush to catch... More

Dear James K, We are sorry to read such a dishearteningly unhappy review of your recent stay with us. It comes as quite a shock to us also considering that we were not aware of several of the complaints. Firstly, there is no record during your stay that you had complained to staff or that maintenance had intervened because of... More

I would highly recommend this hotel. From the moment I walked in the door I felt very welcome. The lobby is modern and immaculatly clean and this follows on throughout the hotel. The staff were very helpful with any query or request I had. It is only around the corner from Termini Station and walking distance to the many wonderful... More

We stayed 2 nights and were very satisfied with our stay with this hotel. Check-in was a breeze and staff were so friendly! We even took a photo together (for their Facebook post) as they were amused by my husband's bicycle bag. The room was slightly small for 3 persons but the king bed was comfortable. The hotel bathroom was... More

My wife & I spent 12 delightful days in Rome in May 2015 and we stayed exclusively at the iQ Hotel. The hotel is very stylish and modern and the rooms are quite comfortable. Unfortunately, there is no restaurant on the premises. They do offer a large buffet breakfast every morning, but we opted instead for a light start to... More

The location of this hotel is right by the opera house near the train station. It is a newer hotel and everything is very clean. Everything in the room is technology up to date. With usb plug in to charge any device. Coming from the U.S. its a great hotel to feel like you have everything you need. Plus, the... More

Stayed for 3 nights and walked everywhere. I think that this might be the cleanest hotel that I have ever stayed in, there seemed to be cleaners in every corridor at all times of the day. The staff were extremely helpful and spoke very good English. The rooms are spacious with all modern facilities. I found it refreshing to find... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
