Stayed at this hotel on 6/22 for 2 nights pre-cruise and we booked 2 triple bed rooms as we have 5 people in our family. The rooms are large. Rooms are very nicely decorated. Best of all, the hotel is spotless, from rooms to public areas. Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful . They recommended a delicious restaurant... More

Not a bad thing to say about this hotel. The service was spectacular. This hotel rocks in my opinion. Very modern amenities and even has an ice machine which you rarely see in Italy. Location was perfect to get to all the sights. I was traveling out of Rome for 5 days and they even stored my luggage with no... More

This was a great hotel. The air conditioning was awesome & everything was very modern & sleek & new. They had Vending Machines which sold everything including umbrellas which we had to buy as it rained on us. The Front Desk answered any questions that we had. The location was wonderful as it was on a quiet side street less... More

A fun, do-it-yourself, trendy hotel -- whose staff have a great sense of humor! You will love the thoughtfulness with which the hotel amenities and rooms have been designed, and a great location across from the Opera and very near the train station.

Refreshingly simple, yet it's simplicity that makes this hotel so good. We stayed for two nights in June, arriving quite early (approx 11am) after standing on a hot and crowded train from Civitavecchia following a cruise. Fortunately the attentive staff allowed us to check-in early, which we were grateful for, allowing us to freshen up before a hot day exploring... More

I found the concept of a four staff hotel with sort of no service, except cleaning little odd. On some floors there are vending machines that supply snacks, hot and cold drinks including alcohol. The room has a bar fridge with nothing in it which is great for keeping your purchases. And un like a lot of hotels the fridge... More

The hotel rooms were clean. They were undergoing remodel, so any inconveniences we had will be upgraded and improved I am certain. I must complement the hotel clerk. He went the extra mile to input all our information necessary to print our boarding passes for our early morning flight. This was above and beyond what is typical. Thank you again!

My husband and I stayed three nights at iQ Hotel. Our room was spacious and clean. We were next to the road, but we never heard any sounds from outside. This is a great location as it is close to the metro station and it is easy to walk to most of the main attractions from the hotel. The hotel... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
