I struggled a little between giving a 4 or 5 rating because this hotel really is fantastic, but my goodness, those beds are hard. The beds are mentioned often in reviews and you can believe what you read. They are likely good quality mattresses, just firm to the extreme. I know the hotel will provide a cover for them if... A good value hotel in a great location near the train station. Nothing fancy but very clean, well appointed rooms with everything you need and friendly staff. Nice rooftop area and handy things like hot water/microwave/vending/washing machine which are great when you are travelling. Breakfast was OK but probably overpriced, however good for those like us with children who don't... More

Loved our stay at the iQ Hotel! Rooms are clean & large. Our room had a nice little balcony that we could open for fresh air. Was conveniently located to everywhere we wanted to see. Free internet was fantastic too!

10 mins walk from Termini Station, 2 mins from Plaza Republica, location is very convenient. The hotel is in a small quiet street. Hotel staff is nice, rooms are clean, comfortable, wifi works well. There are vending machines for amenities, which is convenient, also for drinks and snacks, hot water dispenser, and a terrace were you can bring your own... More

Had a 2 night stay in IQ Hotel Roma whilst doing a quick trip in the Med back in October 2014. I would definitely stay here again. Nothing to complain about. It's always hard to tell with the reviews and the rating systems for hotels in Europe, other than the big 5 stars, I am always skeptical and this hotel... More

I stayed in this hotel recently for 4 nights. Upon arrival, the staff were extremely friendly when we checked in. I worried about the language barrier before I visited Rome, as I only know around 3 words in Italian, however nearly everyone, including taxi drivers, can speak English so we got on absolutely fine. We were given a map of... More

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in September 2014. I loved this hotel. I like modern hotels so this was perfect compared to what else was offered at a similar price. We walked here from the Termini where we took the train from the airport. It was a nice short walk. When we checked in we were... More

The IQ is a very clean and modern hotel. The rooms are a very good size as are the bathrooms. Most of the major attractions can be walked to in under half an hour and there are a number of restaurants and shops nearby. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and helped whenever possible. I would certainly consider... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
