A perfect modern property located ideally very close to Central station (5-7minutes walk). To get to the hotel from airport you can take Leonardo express to Main train station. When you are exiting the main train station take an exit which gets you towards the traffic light where Hop on Hop off starts & ends. Keep walking towards the big... More

Excellent location, friendly staff, good quality rooms and a great breakfast. Could not have asked for more. Would definitely look to use this hotel again. Close to the metro and the main train station.

We've just returned from our amazing trip to Rome and we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The staff are amazing, rooms are spotless and the terrace on the 5th floor is fantastic, particularly after a long day of sightseeing, just grab a bottle of wine, a beer, soft drink or just a coffee and sit back and relax. Location... More

This was our second time staying here. Can't say enough good things. Location is great - near to Train Station and major bus stops as well as the bus station. Very good restaurants nearby. Rooms are spotless and very comfortable. Staff is extremely helpful. Love the self service wine machine! Breakfast is well worth the $$. Highly recommend

Stayed nov 2014, lovely clean hotel. Staff were absolutely lovely, couldn't do enough for you. For the price we paid it was an absolute bargain, will definitely stay here again! The vending machine with the wine is a brilliant idea!

I cannot say enough about the IQ! Alberto at the front desk is amazing. All other employees were friendly. The breakfast buffet is great. They had some of the best donuts filled with Nutella! Cappuccino machine was perfection. The location of this hotel was a bit worrisome at first but after you learn the routes, it's good. Many fantastic restaurants... More

Booked this hotel on line based on advice I got from this site (Trip Advisor). I'd have to say that I whole heartedly recommend this hotel. I decided to go to Rome on short notice so was pretty happy to find somewhere that was reasonably priced and at the time of booking was just happy with that. There is always... More

We visited Rome in March which was perfect as it wasn't too busy and queues were low. IQ hotel was a great location, only 10-15 minute walk from Trevi Fountain and 30 mins walk from Vatican. Great views on the way. The hotel was modern, clean and had everything we needed. Hotel staff were very helpful and gave us all... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
