Spent a week at the IQ hotel while exploring Rome. Found it to be a great location to set out from on foot daily and received exceptional service. They also have a very nice breakfast selection. Make use of the the express checkout service - a nice touch.

My husband and I stayed here for a week in December, 2015 for our first trip to Rome. I was very pleased with the hotel and would stay again. Staff are polite and helpful. Rooms are well presented and very clean. Large king bed by Australian standard - although a little firm. Pillows are pretty terrible in terms of comfort.... More

We stayed four nights in October. The hotel arranged for a driver to meet us at Fiumicino Airport and drive us to the Hotel. They also arranged a driver for the trip to Civitavecchia. The desk staff is multi-lingual and was very helpful in suggesting (non-tourist and reasonably priced) places for dinner, explaining transportation options. Our room was on the... More

Lovely clean modern hotel in a great location. The rooms were spotless and the front desk staff was great. Larbi especially was very helpful and sweet, but all of them were great. It was close to the main attractions of room and you could easily walk to the Spanish steps, Trevi fountain and Colusseum. Would definitely stay there again. Free... More

Friendly staff. Rooms are very small though clean. Location is very good and close to touristy stuff. Breakfast is 10 euros and worth the price but I think it should be included in room rates since they are rather high. Free wifi and room safe box included. Some related comments about Rome. Changing money is not easy and some charge... More

This place is a real find in Central Rome. Just a block to underground transportation, and a short walk to Termini, getting around to see the sights of Rome and this part of Italy couldn't be simpler. As a mature, female traveler, I appreciated the generous assistance from reception, and the rooftop living room. Would definitely stay here again.

I Stayed in December. We arrived after midnight and were checked in very quickly. The room was spacious and spotless and had double wardrobes, a fridge and huge firm but very comfortable bed. The bedding was gleaming white and of high quality. The black-out curtains were extremely effective and we slept until quite late the following morning and missed breakfast.... More

Good location, walk to Termini. Good restaurants nearby. Close to public transport. Great staff. Only problem was inadequate Airconditioning and that was in May when the temperatures were not that high. We had an internal room. So ask about the aircon when booking esp if travelling in a Summer. Cezar on front desk went over and above in everyday. Roof... More

Great service, rooms were decent size and very clean. Strong wifi in room. Loved the idea of having vending machines on each floor! There is also a vending machine with alcohol on the top floor which we only discovered on our last day. It is so convenient if you wanted a drink as it is much cheaper to get it... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
