Our family of 4 stayed in a family room for 4 nights in June. We found the hotel to be modern and very clean and comfortable. Yes the beds we hard but we prefer harder mattresses compared to the well worn dippy beds you often get. The staff were always friendly and helped with directions and local restaurants. The biggest... More

The hotel is very clean, modern and comfortable. Location is also great due to proximity to subway station and arrival/departure through Termini. However, the 'intelligent' concept didn't impress too much. Overall, we found the hotel boring despite its obvious positive attributes.

We stayed for a week and enjoyed our experience. In Europe the beds tend to be very firm and the staff provided us with every effort to improve our bedding. On multiple occasions they let us print off forms, and offered us advice on local cuisine, transport, etc.

We had an excellent stay in this hotel. Great location. We were upgraded on check. The rooms were meticulously clean and modern. The service was beyond par. We forgot a suitcase that met us on pickup from our subsequent cruise. the staff were friendly and very helpful. I will stay here on my next trip to Rome.

This was the perfect hotel for our 2-night stay in Rome earlier this month. Although the rooms are on the small side, the hotel was conveniently located and impeccably clean. The staff was very helpful -- we were able to check in right away, even though we arrived before noon. We loved the rooftop seating area -- very comfortable once... More

Loved IQ and will stay again when we return to Rome. Booked online directly w/ hotel far in advance & reconfirmed 30 days out. Staff were most reassuring & helpful when we missed our connecting flight to Rome & arrived late in the evening. Very much appreciated. Room was as reserved & described, with plenty of amenities. Excellent service each... More

It's clean, modern and no frills. You pay for what you need. There's a vending machine for everything! Toiletries, snacks, coffee, even wine and beer! And it's reasonably priced! The mattress was a little hard even with the topper they placed on it. The staff is mostly friendly but not very knowledgeable but with the internet these days, it's easy... More

While the staff at this hotel were all wonderful and the rooms super clean, modern and charming even if on the smallish side (with the exception of the amazingly big bath tub... which helped me deal with my jet lag) perhaps the best thing about this hotel is its location right around the corner from the Termini train station. Additionally,... More

We spent two nights here in July. The rooms was very nice, comfortable, clean, and quite. Breakfast buffet was only 10 euros and very good. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, near the opera. Easy to walk to lots of nice places. I left a nice leather messenger bagan that had a camera in it... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
