This is just a great place to stay in Rome. It's close to transportation and restaurants and within walking distance of many of the sites. We've stayed here before and continue to come back due to the location, staff, nice rooms, and especially the terrace. We like to end every day with a relaxing beer or wine on the terrace.

Short 5 minute walk from Roma Termini station. The hotel looks new and very clean. Very friendly hotel staff. Full amenities. Very comfortable and large room. Supermarket on the next street over. You need the room card to get into the hotel from the street, so security is good. The hotel was installing/upgrading something in the hallway during our stay,... More

Had a really good stay at this hotel. Great location, 5/6 mins walk to Termini train station and both subway lines. Not far to walk to a lot of attractions in the city as well. Stayed in a standard double room, which was reasonably spacious for a city hotel. Very spacious bathroom. Plenty of wardrobe space, small fridge, but unfortunately... More

Love this place. Got a free upgrade and the room is fantastic. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Once you get your bearings on location, you will find you are not far from most of the sights. We loved walking around and found it all within easy reach. The Central Train Station is a 10 minute walk which was good... More

We spent 2 weeks in the bustling and stunning city of Rome in April 2015. Our gracious hostess Alberta, and host Alessio, made our stay pleasant and thoroughly enjoyable. Their hotel setting was ideal - 2 blocks from the Colosseum, a bus hub and subway connection, and countless non-touristy dining options. This small hotel is highly recommended for the traveler... I have just returned from a most wonderful stay at the iQ Roma, this hotel is central to all major tourist attractions, as all are in walking distance. The hotel itself is "spotless" with everything you need at your finger tips via the vending machines, which I was sceptical about prior to my arrival. Can I say what a perfect... More

Had a 3 night stay in April 2015. The hotel is very modern and new. Check in was very swift and our room was ready at 1pm. The rooms are absolutely spotless as was our bathroom. The room was a bit on the small side but were hardly in it so that was not a problem. Breakfast was great. Good... More

The hotel staff are extremely accommodating, as soon as you walk through the door there is a friendly face and a welcome smile, the rooms are immaculate, hair dryer large smart TV and very comfortable along with a little fridge for bottles of water or even more impressive the vending machines selling decent... We chose the IQ Roma for our 3 night stay based on the TripAdvisor reviews as there are lots to choose from. From the airport we got tickets for the Terravision shuttle bus (8 euros return each) to the Termini (45 mins) as we had read the taxis were overpriced. From the Termini we walked to the hotel (approx 800m).... More

Trip Advisor recommended this hotel during my search and they were right on! It is centrally located and in a safe part of town. We walked all over Rome from here. The rooms were very clean and spacious. There is also a small gym which is nice.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
