This historical buildings is since 5 years a modern luxury hotel with all the uber amenities: iPod dock, Nespresso machine, touchpad lighting control, fresh flowers, marble bathroom, king bed, walkin wardrobe... excellent location and superb rooftop. A real boutique hotel.

27 of August - 3 of September my girlfriend and I stayed in Luxury apartments in Rome - Babuino 181. We decided to find something good but affordable. Hotels in Rome are very expensive. So a few words about our aparthotel. It has a good location, though the apartments are in different buildings they are all very close from each... More

We were at Babuino 181 for the weekend and loved it! The room was beautiful and huge. The rooftop lounge is a great place to relax after a long day of sightseeing and shopping. The location is perfect, walking distance to major attractions yet quiet and friendly. Lots of very good restaurants in the area.

We opted for a Deluxe Room and were completely happy with everything. Lower category rooms are likely a little smaller but no doubt fine too. The design of everything is extremely thought through in both aesthetic and practical terms; construction must have cost a small fortune. The breakfast at the amazing rooftop dining room is superb; we paid 20 euros... More

Babuino 181 was NOT what I was expecting from a hotel in central Rome. And that's a good thing. As someone who lives in the city that boasts to have the only 7 star hotel in the world, I am always expecting one thing with hotels in Europe: small. This hotel was not. The room was spacious enough for 3... More

Well-located hotel within walking distance to restaurants, shops and some sites. Rooms were ok with good amenities although furniture a bit tired and room crowded. Otherwise, decent value for money. The big shock was the quality of the staff in the hotel given this is a boutique hotel (and given the other reviews we read on tripadvisor before selecting this... More

I don't think we could have had a better experience. We were only there a day as we were on our way back to the states from Greece. Everything from the tour book authored by the owner of the hotel to the roof-top terrace and the fantastic corner room were well thought out. We also experienced an incredibly helpful and... More

Great location and helpful and informative staff. Everything that you need to seein Rome is close by and within reach. The rooms are clean well maintained and the roof terace breakfast at the sister hotel was excellent. Could not be faulted and I have already been recommending this hotel to others!

This is not a business hotel, so don't use it as such. This is the perfect hotel for couples, families and shoppers. Lots of shopping on the namesake street and Via Del Corso is nearby, so some of you will rejoice. The owner wrote a little guidebook to the area, read it as soon as you check in. The rooms... More

We stayed in the Babuino suite. 2 adults and 1 16yr old. Plenty of room for all 3 of us. Very modern, huge master bath, beautiful linens etc. A beautiful welcome fruit basket and bottle of Prosecco . The roof top terrace is nice for breakfast, with lots of choice. The terrace is also open in the evening for drinks. Excellent... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
