We stayed here 5 nights and fell in love with the comfort of the room and the remarkable location. Do not miss the "A Roman Notebook" written by the hotel owner, Alberto Moncada and provided to guests upon arrival. We were in Rome to see the traditional sites and but found ourselves mesmerized by the local neighborhood and hidden gems... More

This was our third stay at Babuino 181 and service was warm and welcoming and efficient. The location is perfect for us. The style of the hotel is contemporary but the atmosphere is charming and warm. We love it and can't wait to return.

My husband booked for 2 nights for my 40th birthday- it was perfect for the occasion and for our first visit to Rome. The hotel arranged a driver to pick us up from Ciampino and it was well worth the extra money as he was our own tour guide informing us about the various sites that were lit up as... More

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for a four day trip to celebrate our 17th Wedding Aniversary in March 2015 - The hotel location is superb, within easy walking disteance to lots of shops, restuarants and bars, in an exclusive part of teh town, near the Spanish steps and many of the other major sites or within an... We stayed 7 nights at this small boutique hotel . Everything was perfect: location, cleanliness of the suite, room facilities, breakfast buffet, attentive service with a smile. You really feel welcome!

Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, warm welcome, comfortable rooms with everything we required. Piazza del Popolo 2 mins walk away. Ideal for a relaxing drink and watching the world go by.

We liked the location, the clean room, the quiet and our great driver (Alex). My only complaint was that they globally turned off the air conditioning because it was officially winter season. However, the week was very warm and we were unable to have a cool room because of the ban.

Rooms are very nice, but air conditioning is weak. In the summer months some rooms may be too warm. Lovely staff at reception, helpful cleaning ladies and porters. The bar man could smile a bit, very serious

We spent 5 days at the Babuino 181 - excellent boutique hotel - great location with some excellent restaurants nearby and easy walking distance to the sights, shopping and restaurants. Room was great, excellent rooftop terrace bar/breakfast area - very friendly and hospitable staff. We would definitely go back!

It was my second time staying at Babuino 181 and I would not consider anywhere else in Rome. The service and room was immaculate as always. Babuino 181 is located in a fabulous part of Rome not far from the Spanish Steps.

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
