We have been in Italy during the scorching heat wave making it's way across Europe. So many hotels have little A/C, but this one has the most refreshing cold air! Check-in was fantastic and we were accompanied to our room in the new wing across the street from the lobby. The basket of fresh fruit was amazing and the welcome... More

Our room was comfortable and quiet. The room temperature controls worked well - which is crucial in Rome during the summer. However, we had some issues with the service: despite requesting a double room they allocated us a twin beds room and they pretended to see our paper printed reservation to believe they had gotten it wrong. Eventually they conceded.... More

My husband and I just had three nights at Bambuino 181 and I would say this was the most beautiful hotel room, not to mention one of the largest in Rome! We could not fault this hotel and it was positioned in the best part of Rome, close to shops, cafes, restaurants and nearby the Spanish steps. The bathroom was... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would definitely stay here again. The hotel is in a fantastic area (especially if you like shopping) and is close to all the sights of Rome. The room was large, modern and very well appointed. Unfortunately we had no view but the room was very quiet which suited us, Rome being... More

A real gem. Found this boutique hotel by accident and booked last minute. Great rooms. We had a standard room which was quite large for Rome standards. Modern and clean. Value for money. Staff were very helpful. Position excellent near the Spanish steps.

The staff is very accommodating and helpful. I had made a mistake on my reservation, and Vincente went the extra mile to get it fixed for me. The modern decor of the rooms is beautiful and the hotel is right in the center of all of the sites we planned to visit in Rome. Staying at Babuino 181 was a... More

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for my birthday in March. We were absolutely delighted with our room, the location, the staff, and the hotel itself. In a very central location, right beside the main shopping area and beautiful restaurants. The staff were extremely helpful with restaurant tips etc. The bed was mega comfortable with all mod cons.... More

We just left this hotel today. We had an amazing experience. Great location, modern and clean with absolutely the best staff we've encountered. Veronica and Teodora helped us with making reservations, selecting restaurants and making sure we had everything we needed. It was perfectly quiet, allowing the entire family to sleep in and in the perfect location near the best... More

It was fine. Second visit here. Only one thing found disappointing on our last visit they have this superb roof terrace where they had a drinks for 6 to 8 and these were free. Great chance to meet other guests and relax after a day of business or sight seeing. They have now starting offering one free drink but after... More

We stayed here for our Silver Wedding Anniversary! Following a slight misunderstanding over the rooms, the hotel management and staff were quick to act and upgrade us to the Babuino Suite. Thank you Babuino 181! It was the icing on the cake of our trip to Rome!

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
