Relais Casa Della Fornarina is a small hotel with only 4 bedrooms. Located in and old building - supposedly the home of Rafael´s mistress La Fornarina - it is newly refurbished to a high standard. Our room was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and well equipped. In spite of temporary problems one afternoon, the WIFI was very... More

Ok. If you want 5 star amenities, you're not going to get it here. But if you want a really nice room in the lovely Trastevere neighborhood that is still reasonably within walking distance of several major tourist attractions, then you will love this place. I loved walking this neighborhood every day and checking out the mom and pop shops... More

We stayed at the Relais Casa della Fornarina for three nights during the beginning of May. The room and the location was perfect. When we arrived the fridge didn't work but that was fixed immediately. We did know about breakfast (cofee, juice, croissant) were to be eaten at one of two bars nearby. The latteria was the most Italian experience.... More

Chose this hotel as we wanted to stay in Trastevere & this scored very highly on the booking engine we used. I wasn't disappointed - big room and some very effective double glazing kept out the traffic noise. Breakfast is provided courtesy of 2 nearby bars for which the hotel gives its guests little vouchers. Quite a good system. The... More

So I booked last December for a one night stay in November 2012, I know it was almost a year early but I like to be organised and I got a email saying it was all confirmed. We arrived at 11am to be advised by the cleaner that we needed to come back at 2pm (but he let us keep... More

This B&B is very well located in the heart of Trastevere next to Porta Settimiana. It is a top class B&B! We stayed in the biggest of the four rooms. It is a restored 2-storey house with lots of charm. The rooms are clean and they were able during the restoration to keep the old charm with a modern touch.... More

i came back with my son in July after two years of our last visit and was interested to see whether Relais la Fornarina kept their high accomodation standards. Indeed this little gem in Trastevere is still top class. Great location, nice and clean rooms, AC, WI-FI. Definitely we'll come back.

I would like to start by saying that when we book hotels/B&B's etc we spend hours/days/sometimes weeks scouring websites such as Booking.com, Laterooms, Tripadvisor - reading review upon review until we find the BEST place possible within our budget - it really is a labour of love. And this little beauty of a B&B is absolutely perfect for your stay... More

This was a good comfortable room in a good location in Trastevere, easy walking distance to Vatican one way and across the river into the centre in the other, but I thought it was a little overpriced compared to other places I have stayed in Rome. The ac was welcome as temperatures were in the mid thirties, the bed was... More

The location is absolutely perfect. We were able to walk everywhere without any need for public transport. The area of Trastevere is fantastic too with lots of bars and restaurants to explore if you don't fancy paying through the nose in Piazza Navona and it's environs. Sonia and Nicoleta looked after us fantastically well during our stay, and we will... More
