As we were on a budget this was the perfect place for us. We read a few reviews and were a bit nervous on what to expect, but our stay was amazing. We were so close to everything in Rome! The owners was a lovely lady who showed on a map where to go and where is over rated. She... More

The place is central, cosy and has its own character, but the bed was unfortunately uncomfortable and noisy and affected our sleep quality. We changed bed, but the second one was no better than the first one. Noise from the hall didn't make it any better. The heater didn't help much either.

Stayed with my wife for a few nights and we thought it was decent. The rooms are large so plenty of space to spread out. Everything was clean and the location is great. The only reason it's not rated higher is because it's extremely noisy (street noise and thin walls) and some things need fixing (shower). Overall great deal for... More

The place is clean, nice, the rooms are good sized. We had one with bathroom, which was located on the balcony belonging to the room. Originally it must have been a larger apartment, with 4 rooms, nowadays fuctioning as a B&B. We couldn't see the meaning of the second "B" in B&B, but the prices for Rome in the summer... More

This is the cheapest we could find in Rome for 3 nights as a couple. Next time I probably would pay extra for somewhere nicer. It's close to Termini and the Colleseum and easy to walk everywhere so you can't complain about the location. There is a place over the road where we got a takeaway pizza for €4 on... More

The hotel was ok, not the best ever, not the worst. The room was clean and tidy and secure. It is near the station and the coliseum but further away from everything else. There is just one shared bathroom so sometime you have to wait a while to use it. This is a good place to stay if you don't... More

Probably the worst place I have ever stayed. Found 3 fleas on my body while in bed and am covered in flea bites. The decoration is awful, like a toddler was let loose with the design. Pot pouri everywhere to mask the smell of smoke which combined is actually worse than just having a smokey smell. Paid for bed and... More

La Farfalla is located near Termini station, which is reachable by foot within 10 minutes. It also is located very near to the Santa Maria Maggiore, which is located on a square surrounded by lovely eateries and a nice ice cream parlor. The building in which the B&B is located, has an elevator. This way, traveling with big/heavy luggage will... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
