We enjoyed our stay in meltin Rome. Rodolfo is very helpful and a good host. Every room is different and make you feel welcomed and cosy. The neighborhood is multicultural but does not make you feel unsafe. The station of termini is very close and the historical center is in a walking distance. I think in total is a value... More

The apartment was clear enough, with hot water available, wifi with strong signal but the most valueable characteristic was the easy access to the Termini station. The manager was very helpful and gave a nice friendly welcome during the registration process as well as, plenty of information for the city. Good value for money!!

The initial impression of this guest house from the outside was a bit worrying but the door to the street was secure and the lift was clean. The guest house is on the third floor and looks just like any other apartment in the block. The manager was very helpful and gave a nice friendly welcome during the registration process.... More

This is a hostel, which is not clear in the description, but it's a great value if you just want a simple, clean, close place near Termini for a night or two, or if your're on a budget. My daughter and I were here for 1-night in October 2014 before taking a train to Florence in the morning. It's not... More

Best thing about this place is the manager who is very helpful. The location is great, close to the railway station and the airport transfer buses. The rooms are clean and simple. It might need a small place for a small breakfast because being in such a good location it means that the restaurants close by are pretty expensive.

The neighborhood is a bit dicey, the street noise might keep some awake, but this very clean accommodation very close to Termini Train Station is a bargain. We had a very large room and separate bathroom for 70 E per nite. Basic, no breakfast and no frills but totally adequate. If you are looking for a cozy B&B this is... More

we stayed for 3 night and 2 of them has no hot shower at all. call the manager (since it's no one on side) and got very bad responds. "you should wait for another 30 mins" we are 3 girls travelling together, and we come for Roma but not waiting for hot shower in the tiny room. it's way too... More

Our red room was nice and clean. Only problem was that it was a room with a private external bathroom so you had to walk out of the room to use it. The staff was very helpful but he was only around for a few hours during the day. The location was perfect, very close to the termini. But the... More

The guest house is located 5 mins away from Termini station, which was handy! The staff were lovely and welcoming, he spoke very good English, gave us a map of Rome and located the restaurants in the area! That map was a god send!! You'll need it! It was a 15 min walk to the colosseum. The room was clean... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
