Palazzo Manfredi is a charming, small hotel, very centrally located. As with most other R&C properties, the service is impeccable and very personal. The rooms are very well decorated, albeit in some instances it is form over function, as other reviewers have pointed out. However, the rooms are on the smaller side, even by European standards. Another "feature" is that... More

My wife and I spent 2 nights in the Luda Magnus suite. The hotel and room overlooks the Colosseum. It is an nice upmarket contemporary hotel. We experienced very mixed service levels - great the first day and poor the second. Front desks staff were great throughout. The suite had disappointing features - no bath, no towel hooks, no soap... Even before we arrived Federica and Milly on front desk reception were extremely helpful in recommending and booking local restaurants for our stay; promptly answering my pestering e-mails about where best to eat. I could not fault any staff throughout the whole stay-always asking how our day went, always asking if we needed anything. The staff were genuinely pleasant and... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in March. From arrival, throughout, and departure we found the hotel staff to be friendly, accommodating, especially Bruno. The room we had (no 30) has just been renovated and was lovely, I loved the bathroom and the boutique feel of it. We did struggle to find the tv as it is... More

We stayed in an apartment that was offsite from the main hotel because it was a larger space to accommodate our family. The space was perfect for us -- it has two bedrooms and a pull out couch in the living room; it even had a little kitchen -- and it was in a wonderful bustling very local neighborhood, all... More

Amazing hotel, amazing staff, amazing view! My family and I are quite impressed with this hotel. Set in a beautiful location, good sized rooms and not to mention their dining area. A terrace roof top with a view of the Colosseum. Absolutely great experience with the kindest and most charismatic staff. Around the hotel there is a big variety of... More

We can't really add anything to what has been said before about this hotel. We stayed for three nights in February on this, our first visit, to Rome. The location of the hotel is wonderful. A fantastic view onto the Colosseum, within walking distance of many of the great sites of Rome, easy access to the 'hop-on/hop-off' bus services. From... More

In late November, we traveled to visit our daughter who was studying aboard for the semester in Rome. We came across the Palazzo Manfredi via TripAdvisor while looking for a hotel that was in close proximity to her. We were also looking for a place that was more "authentic" from a Roman cultural perspective. We didn't want to stay in... More

We stayed here for 4 nights from 12th to 16th February. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like special guests. The staff were absolutely superb especially Giacamo, the front desk manager. Nothing was too much trouble and he was always happy to share information such as best times to visit attractions and booked tickets for the... More

Didn't stay at the hotel, but did use the rooftop bar for a romantic evening drink overlooking the streets of Rome. The service was excellent, cocktails were perfect with complementary finger food and the staff hospitality was unbelievable. The restaurant which is now a Michelin star was booked out, so if visiting room, and want to use the restaurant, book... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
