The actual hotel is very hard to find due to the lack of a sign outside. The location is literally across the street from the train terminal. This is a very dirty, busy and kind of sketchy area of town. The hotel is behind two locked doors so I didn't feel unsafe there. The staff was nice and the room... More

It's very near the Train station about 3 mins walk from the exit, you can find their door easily. The owner explain to us in detail the facilities. We love the kitchen with free bread, drinks and fruits 24 hours. We stayed in the purple room and it was clean. We will be staying here again when we go ro... More

This B&B was perfect for us. It's located directly opposite the main train station in Rome, so you don't have far to drag your bags. Being the main hub for buses and the underground Metro, it's also well located for getting around during our stay. It's on the fourth floor, however there is a small elevator which did the job... The room was clean, the beds comfortable and amenities were fine-full kitchen shares with two other rooms, equipped with breakfast foods-not gourmet. It is not staffed by anyone around the clock-you must make advance arrangements to check in and then you are left to your own devices. Computer and printer available. A 2 minute walk from train station. Perfect if... More

This was a great B & B to start our European adventure. It was very conveniently near the Central Train Station. It was a funky room, very clean and good to be able to use the kitchen at any time. As someone else has said it is like an upmarket hostel. The owner greeted us on arrival and was very... More

I would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone! We were so happy with our stay. Great wifi connection, very clean, kitchen organised and with everything we need-we could even cook if we wanted! As soon as we arrived, Maurice showed us everything we needed to know and the room-so helpful! We can't thank you enough for such a great... More

My third stay at Dream Station. Domenico and Mauricio (the proprietors) continue to do an excellent job. I had the Red Room during this visit, I think this is the quietest room of all, as it is set away from the street and on the opposite side of the check-in desk. I used the kitchen to cook (grilled sandwiches for... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
