The positive points are quiet few: the Termini station is very close (5-10 minutes), a good Wifi-connection, a nice tv (but tv is not so interessting during holidays) and clean towels. For the rest, we were disappointed, because the photos did not corrispond to the rooms. The walls had some pen marks, we heard the neighbours flushing the water of... More

I stayed here for 4 nights. The location of this hotel is just amazing. It's about 5 min from termini stations, from which you can get almost to all objects in Rome. Also the hotel is very cosy and interesting. Our room was very nice, there was a conditioner and the room was cleaned every day. In addition, the breakfast... More

We had read the great reviews and since it was very near Sapienza Univeristy, where my husband was attending a conference, decided it was our best choice. The famous Christina and her father were nowhere to be found. The hotel is run by a company? That runs 2 or 3 hotels in the same building. No personal attention whatsoever. The... More

We only spent few days in Rome and then travelled by train to Naples, so the location was ideal as this hotel is approx 5min walk from Termini station. Very friendly ladies at the reception, explained all the do's and dont's and answered all the q's we had... Also room was kept very clean. Good for friends or couples travelling... More

Convenient location, however very basic rooms. Cleanliness is maintained, but no frills attached. Old cupboards, furniture. After cleaning the room, the windows are usually left open, which means you are welcomed by some mosquitoes when you return. The booking included wifi usage, but the wifi wasnt working in the rooms, we needed to go down to the lobby to use... More

Nothing to rave about really. They have clean rooms. Breakfast is limited and just a croissant and juice/coffee. The best thing about this place is that it is close to the railway station. We were asked to pay the entire amount in advance, which was very strange. There is hot water in the bathrooms, but the water temperature kept fluctuating... More

I booked this hotel for one night at the end of our Italy vacation, since we were arriving from Florence by train and needed to get to Fiumicino airport in the morning. The convenient location was the best part of staying here. We never met the very friendly folks that supposedly run the place, but instead, were instructed to check... More

Cozy place right by the Termini station, perfect location to reach all the sights. Cristina and her dad were very nice and helpfull. Breakfast might be too simple and small for some people but that's Italy! Get a room here and have a nice stay in Rome :)

The owner Enrica and his daughter Cristina were very welcoming and helpful. They marked our maps for us and gave us suggestions on which places to visit. Cristina was very sweet and brought us our breakfast to the room (from the cafe) at 6:30 am because we did not have time to go to the cafe and getting ready to... More

A very nice bed and breakfast to stay in Rome. I stayed there for 3 nights in October 2011. The owners Cristina and her father Santi are very helpfull and nice guys. The only thing i think its not so good is the breakfast: only croissant with juice or coffee.

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This gritty student neighborhood immediately east of Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art galleries, curated mural projects by artists like Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San Lorenzo still retains its local vibe with weekend festivals and demonstrations, and is always a hub for Rome’s university student scene.
