This B&B is as good as the reviews here say it is! It is not posh, but it has everything you need. You can walk from here to almost any place in Rome. The B&B is in a quiet street, near a square where there is a market and restaurants. The busy Trastevere neighborhood is a few minutes away. Giorgio... More

The Neighborhood is a great base for a Roman vacation. The omnipresent graffiti is a little off putting, but one gets used to it. For some reason I pictured Giorgio as a dark, mustached, Luigi in Donkey Kong, type guy. He was young, and blond, my wife thought he looked like Macklamore. He could not have been nicer, his English... More

Having stayed at Trasteverina B&B about 4 times, I must say that each time I was impressed with the comfort and cleanliness of the accommodations, and innkeeper Giorgio goes above and beyond to make his guests feel welcome and to provide helpful information about anything a visitor to Rome would need to know, whether it is their first time in... Great neighborhood in a non-touristy part of town. Because of the building and area of town that Roma Trasteverina B&B is in, it makes you feel like you really fit in. Me and my boyfriend kept saying how we felt like locals coming in and out of "our" apartment in Rome. We got a kick out of it! :) This... More

We have stayed with Giorgio in the past (see our previous review) and always said that when we came back to Rome we would not stay anywhere else. I am pleased to say we we were not disappointed. The rooms are as spotlessly clean and bright as ever and Giorgio is the perfect host. He leaves you to enjoy your... More

My room was basic, but what else do you need in Rome... you spend all the time outside anyway. The location is perfect, in a lively neighbourhood, packed with cafes and restaurants, walking distance from nearly everything that you would like to do in Rome. As far as the owner is concerned he was really helpful but a bit too... More

Dear Aleksandr, Thank You for sharing your experience on Tripadvisor. I’m sorry to read in your review about your personal point of view of My behavior, I found the inaccurate statements misleading and contradictory, I have always worked in all these years with full professionalism with people coming from all over the world, including a lot of solo female travellers,... Having been to Rome before, this trip was significantly more enjoyable and I'd say Roma Trasterverina was key. First off, the room was immaculate. The bathroom was like new and spotless clean. So much better maintained than other Italian hotels twice the price. It was simple, but exactly what was needed and the price was a steal. Breakfast was actually... More

My husband and I stayed here for four nights and I would recommend with no hesitation what so ever to other couples or single individuals. The room itself was basic and resembled any other hotel room - not freakishly small, not freakishly big. Very clean, appeared to be new? It's a basic simple room, nothing ultra swank but in no... My husband and I stayed at this B&B for four nights in early June. Giorgio was an excellent host before and during our stay. He called to make reservations for us at various places and was always willing to weigh-in on our travel plans or make suggestions and sites to see and places to eat. Though he was not always... We spent 5 nights in this cute B & B in Trastevere and we are so glad we did. Giorgio makes you feel like you are his special guests. He is so helpful and always so cheerful. Even when we packed his remote for the T.V. by mistake! Loved the location, the cleanliness and our host. Would highly recommend to... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
