The Hotel is small and absolutely beautiful throughout, the lovely little terrace is well kept and a great sun trap. We had room number... More

My Husband and I visited Rome as a treat for my 60th birthday. I wanted to stay out of the city for a bit of peace. And that is exactly what we had at this wonderful hotel. The staff are all amazing especially the Receptionist Julia nothing is too much trouble and it is done with a smile. As working... More

I have stayed here twice for business in the area. It really is a charming hotel. Very quiet, extremely comfortable rooms. I have now been in two different rooms, both just as nice. Period look furniture but a modern bathroom with hydro massage in the bath. Room number 1 on the ground floor has its own terrace. Lovely breakfast room... More

As a birthday treat, my partner and I set our sights on Rome, a city we had never visited previously and one which we hoped would offer an experience of a lifetime. Used to self catering, we pondered the various options, but decided upon Hotel Villa Duse having read several (and varied) reports. With everything booked, we looked forward to... More

Villa Duse is a wonderful discovery, a fresh approach to short stays or holidays in Rome. It is in a green, opulent part of the city, just two steps from serene Piazza delle Muse, Cafe Parnaso, my favorite Sunday morning retreat in Rome. The staff at the hotel are simply wonderful, friendly, professional. The room was warm, cosy, with a... More

An excellently run hotel in the suburbs north of the Borghese Gardens, with good sized rooms, small but lovely gardens to sit in and friendly helpful staff. However, there are two things that you should bear in mind. First, it is a long walk into the centre from here, and Rome's bus and tram links are comically bad. Or not... More

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
