fantastic little hotel. location a bit out of the way but the lady at reception happily gave me a map and told me the easiest way into main city centre. the room was perfect and the private little garden was beautiful too. they even held our bags on our last day and allowed us to wait in the garden whilst... I enjoyed the luxurious style of the hotel. We stayed in 3 hotels while in Rome. An expensive luxury one in the centre, this one near the big park Villa Ada and the last night near the airport. I thought this would be a welcome break from the sight seeing but checking out and moving hotels wastes time and effort.... More

Lovely small hotel, north side of town in Parioli district with good transport links to centre. If I compare location with London it is St Johns Wood with big smart houses and embassies. Between Hotel and city centre you have the Villa Borghese (Regents park). Staff were all very helpful and gave excellent restaurant recommendations, all local. Bedroom was very... More

Beautiful small hotel away from the centre, but with easy access to the city (360 bus). Our room had its own private garden and it was quiet and very well cleaned. We were incredibly well looked after here, especially by Giulia in reception, who went out of her way to book taxis and print boarding passes etc. Highly recommended.

Picked hotel as a stop off for our honeymoon , where we had planned on staying for 2 nights before onward travel. Hotel stay was pleasant but not spectacular. Staff very helpful when asked. Breakfast consisted of caked, bread and cheeses and meat, fruit, yoghurt and cereal. Location isn't great if you want to be close to amenities. Quite a... More

Stayed here last week while at a conference in Rome. It really is an oasis of comfort and civilization in what can be a challenging city. The neighbourhood is very smart indeed. I had a large comfortable room at the front of the villa - marble bathroom, great decor, and very adjustable lighting. Also a fantastic HD TV! Staff were... More

A nice hotel to retreat to after a day in Rome away from the hustle and bustle and tourists. Breakfast was wonderful with freshly make fruit salad, quiche and wonderful cakes. The staff was very attentive and the garden patio was much enjoyed as a place to eat pizza, drink wine and just relax.

This is a great place to stay out side the city center. The hotel is a beautiful villa with an pretty and very comfortable garden, We particularly liked relaxing after a day of shopping or sight seeing with a glass of prosecco on the hotel patio, which is enclosed from the street by high walls lined with fragrant jasmine. .... We had a very enjoyable stay at Villa Duse over a long weekend in May. It is an excellent boutique hotel, perfect as a quiet base away from the centre. The location won't be for everyone as it is some distance from the centre. A short walk to the bus or tram stop gets you much closer to the action.... More

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
