The location is good, close to Termini station, the neighborhood seems safe. The room is simple and clean. There are one bathroom (and two toillets) for three rooms. The bathrooms could be cleaner. Breakfast is included and served in the bar next door. Coffee or tea and croissant. There so no breakfast on sunday, because the bar is closed. WI-FI... More

My friend and I booked a double room in Placidi Giorni through Budgetplaces. The hostel was an easy walk from Termini station. The train from Fimicino Airport to Termini station takes about 25 minutes and the hostel is a 5-10 minutes walk from there. Check-in was done at the restaurant Andrea, which is owned by the same owners. A nice... More

I chose this B&B because of its location and price. The location is actually great, at about 10 minutes walking from the main railway station in Rome. It's in the city center, so that you can reach many interesting places, attractions, churches and museums by foot. It's spotless clean. The room was recently repainted and refurnished. There are 2 bathrooms... More

I stayed in this B&B for a week with my mate and it was excellent. It's only a small B&B so we didn't see any other customers. You do have to share the bathroom but it was always clean and tidy and only a couple doors down from all the rooms. I think the owner of the B&B owns the... More

We are only back from Rome and stayed with my mum and step dad on a 4 day break. I found it very hard to find somewhere clean, in our price range and near Termini Station. After booking this place on Budgetplaces.com i was still a wee bit aprenhensive of it as this was our first visit in Rome. We... More

Stayed July 2011 Reason to stay: - the cheapest room i found (last minute booking) in July and it's near to Termini station and i have to catch an early flight with Easyjet ! At least i feel safe walking from this accommodation to Termini station. Good - near to Termini but when i arrived on that street, there are... More

Placidi Giorni B&B is a beautiful place, located 5-10 minutes from Termini station. The location is not in the center of Rome, but if you like to walk it's very convenient, otherwise it's close to the metro.. The rooms are big and clean and the shared bathroom is also very neat.. Emiliano, the host, is very kind and helpfull and... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
